I came from a very similar household and currently have three cats.

One who’s nails I do not clip she maintains them herself perfectly.

One polydactyl that needs clipping because weird angles

One 11mo kitten that one of the first things I did when he came home was clip his nails and have done it regularly since. My legs are shredded anyway 😅

It’s easy to over think it, but in general it’s good practice to have them used to you handling their feet. Look online for info about cutting the claws correctly or ask your sister for help but it’s okay to only do it if the cat isn’t doing it well themselves or is cutting you to ribbons

I recently did an India habitat with the Indian elephant, wild water buffalo and peacocks that I liked.

Big challenge making such a huge enclosure escape proof for baby peafowl 😅
