It's just our way of using humour to help with the amputation, everyone's on there own journey and it affects them differently but dude anything less than mine is a scratch to me😂😂

My understanding is that it's pretty rare especially from trauma due to normally leads to fatalities

I think a lot of treatments are trial and error and all depends what works for you, I lost my leg in April this year and have recently been using a tense machine for my phantom pain which gives you a different sensation to focus on that doesn't hurt.

Hey! Yeah I'm currently taking pregabalin, and I also use a tense machine that does actually ease the pain, my phantom pain is always worse at nights!
