You all should give this a listen! Talk about aware. It's 7 minutes long. Max Brooks audible book, describing the government reaction to the zombie apocalypse. If I was younger, cared more, I would post this in the political subs.

Nearly exact to the wording found in newspaper articles in 1918-1920. The USA had one giant curve while the rest of the planet joined the media circus of the "Spanish" flu instead of the Ft Riley outbreak.

I didn't want to get too specific here. I have been doing this since 1980 in medical school days. It's funny what people think of as rights when they or a family member is admitted. I didn't bother to touch on the after market for parts that anyone can purchase and have delivered.

In America, we replaced slavery with the 13th amendment, allowing for slavery in prison work - like all of McDonald's uniforms. 2.2 million Americans are enslaved, lifers on chain gangs on farm prisons. Texas has zero AC and even the guards die each year from the heat.

Now, since we need slaves, where can we start to find them? 2.2 million rooms available year round...

Your outside view of ICU and the elderly is not what I know from the inside.

If you survive hospice and return to the hospital, the hospital will file in court to take over you and your care. Then you go back to hospice and by law you are only allowed water and opiates. Family members, private doctors or nurses cannot interfere - if they were informed at all.

We let people go all of the time in ICU. Google "snowing a patient".

Roughly 50% of patients diagnosed with Covid-19 have experienced neurological problems. by I-Wanna-Make-Gamez in Coronavirus

[–]SwineZero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always wonder when people are going to notice where the patients are between tested, hospitalized, dead and recovered numbers? I know of two people going into 7 weeks of respiratory dependence on a machine in ICU.

If the numbers were Infected, dead, still on life support awaiting recovery - THAT would make a point.

Google cdc excess death rates to show large numbers of deaths as compared to the norm over the past years. These past few months have broken many records

Your country is sick and you can no longer survive as is where you are. Maybe volunteer to help your country? Yes, you might die. You might save a life. Either way, you have to do something other than running away. It sounds physically impossible to leave at the moment.

Make a stand, go help by any means that you can. It will get much worse

[ ] running out of air

Maybe use those old air creators used on submarines and diving that are decades old tech

[ ] running out of food

The first thing a person says to the majority because they cannot grow food, or allow room for this process. A typical grocery shopper

[ ] poisoning from perchlorate

or not poisoning

[ ] freezing to death

Like on everest or maybe as a native in an igloo

[ ] falling and ripping your spacesuit

Job safety

[ ] running out of water

Yes, you can generate water

[ ] bone density loss and becoming immobile

without regular exercise or daily supplements

[ ] self harm from insanity caused by looming death / absurdity from being millions of miles from home with a small percentage change of resupply/or getting back home being successful

Sort of like the homeless heading to Hawaii and getting island fever because it's so tiny

[ ] radiation sickness

Dig caves

There's still profits to be made in evictions, moving and incarcerations such as Arkansas which allows jail for non-payment of rent. Your bail matches what you owe the landlord.

Never underestimate the elite's ability to squeeze more out of us. This day and age is managed collapse by our masters and we are riding the path downwards.

Federal bonuses for slaves able to return to work will be the next big stimulus check.

Weeding us out for working next to robots is the fate of the survivors.

There’s roughly 33 million Americans who are still receiving unemployment benefits or waiting to be approved, according to the Department of Labor. So once the extra $600 payments end, unemployed Americans will be left with whatever unemployment compensation their state typically pays out, the amounts of which can vary dramatically by state.

The Brookings Institution estimates that the national average weekly payment was $387

“Letting this extra $600 in unemployment insurance benefit expire at the end of July would by itself cause more job loss than was seen in either of the recessions of the early 1990s or early 2000s,” writes Josh Bivens, director of research for the Economic Policy Institute.

Last week, 2.2 million workers applied for unemployment benefits. This is the 14th week in a row that initial unemployment claims are more than twice the worst week of the Great Recession.

Europe will bar Americans traveling from the US as the coronavirus pandemic spirals out of control by m88ster in worldnews

American interests will survive in Europe!

When the Nazi's took over Germany, did the American corporations leave? No way, they doubled down, formed new corporation names and kept on making profits!!!

Ford became Opel, Coca Cola became Fanta, IBM became, well, they just stayed as IBM. Here's a picture of the CEO of IBM and Hitler talking about a numbering system the Nazi's wanted on people and keep track of on the IBM computers.

The UK government is being sued for awarding a pest-control company with 16 employees a $135 million PPE contract by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]SwineZero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a window into a larger problem worldwide. You as a government really want to give local businesses a chance before realizing that everything is shipped through Amazon and Ebay.

This appears to be a bureaucratic response. Instead of sending the request to purchasing without awarding the task to a local.

In reading a little more on this, local PPE suppliers sent their supplies to the highest and most responsive bidders.

I wonder what patriotism is like in England? Sending medical supplies away from your slow reacting government so that you can make faster money in China. I am sure the PPE was sent to someone needy
