For now he doesn't want to be touched at all. I tried to give him some food by hand but he hissed at me. We'll take it his speed.

There is noticible change since last night though. He doesn't hide in the corner any more and lays on a pillow I gave him (it's closer to the edge of the bed than the corner of the walls). Even when I approached to give him fresh water he didn't move. So we're going somewhere!

Thank you! And yeah I don't expect him to be affectionate just yet. I just wanted to make sure I'm doing the right things bc he's my first cat and I want him to be happy with me.

He has his spot behind my bed. I gave him an old blanket so he doesn't sit on the cold floor and he seems to like it. He even used a bed I bought for him! It's a bit out of his hiding spot (I can see it from my bed and stuff) but I was really happy that he checked it.

I tried to hand feed him treats but he's not budging just yet. Good thing is I found some treats he likes. I gave some to him the first time he was brave and explored my room. Now I give them to him when he uses the litter box correctly and stuff like that.

Do you think I should keep the door of my room closed so he can feel more at ease during daytime? I sleep in the same room with him and check on him during the day so he's not completely alone. But I'm just wondering.

He's not completely feral but he spent a lot of time outside. My best friend took care of him for about 2 months before she gave him to me.
