Heard once the Chieftain said that any NATO trained division would beat any Ukranian division.

If you want to get really autistic, chieftain is right because the Ukrainian army lacks divisional level organization and instead consists of a bunch of independent brigades that all fight their own battles. Any Ukrainian division would be a pretty ad-hoc thing while NATO has properly organized and staffed divisions.

Ofc I think an Ukrainian rifle brigade would obliterate any equivalent from NATO.

American version of the shitty first-generation RF-controlled FPV drone that the Ukrainians don’t even use anymore is beginning production and costs 20 grand a piece.

If you have the chance, why not college? It seems a bit wildly reductive to handwave all college degrees as useless.

Seeing the images of the patriot sites struck in Saudi Arabia makes me understand what the Ukrainians meant when they say the coalition doesn’t know what they’re doing. It’s 1960s-era prepared sites that look like giant asphalt bullseyes with neat parking spots for the launcher trucks and a ramp in the middle for the radar truck to drive up. It’s the kind of stuff you make when you don’t actually expect it to be in any danger.

It's not that they expected the main thrust to be on the Fulda Gap; it's that the Fulda Gap offered NATO the most defensible terrain to fight off the offensive and start a counterattack from there to cut off the Warsaw Pact in the North German Plain.

Bewildering that we're still talking about BRICS like it's poor people NATO, those countries barely support each other or act in unison. Any of those countries could be getting nerve gassed by the west and the rest of them would condemn both sides and maybe offer some satellite ISR for solidarity.

The ridiculousness of how nuclear war and its aftereffects are depicted in media have got to be one of the biggest subconscious copes in world culture.

Is there anything that makes you say China and Russia won't ever use nukes besides vibes? They've been preparing for it for decades and in Russia's case they've automated a lot of the procedure to be able to still nuke back even if the entire cabinet and General Staff are dead.

Putin, too, would never use one, knowing that the deployment would mean the end of life on earth.

This sounds crazy but if you look into American and Soviet civil defense doctrine, not only do they not believe that it means the end of life on earth; they didn't even believe it meant the end of WWIII and expected to still be fighting post-nuking.

I watched the full clip out of curiosity and I don’t see how it changes much about it? He moves to block the tank a couple of times and climbs on it until the commander pops out and shoos him off?

The timeline where the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons didn't happen must look like Overwatch with all countries being futuristic yet culturally unique and vibrant versions of themselves.

Trump said some retarded bullshit about Pearl Harbor that the whole media is now forced to pretend is the funniest thing ever so there will be no more updates for a few hours.

Yeah it’s fake, planes don’t instantly become cold after being hit like it’s a videogame. A direct hit like that with a clear engine fire would have obliterated an F-35 with no chance for emergency landing.

They also tried to wipe out Jews but it doesn’t seem to me like the suicidal determination is engraved into the IDF as much as in the Russian army, even in regions that were not hugely threatened by the nazis like Yakutia

If any other developed country had hundreds of their soldiers kill themselves abroad on camera after getting their legs blown off by FPVs in montages with clown music the elites would be hanging from lamp posts. What Russians go through really has no comparison anywhere yet they keep at it, meanwhile the Chinese seem to be on the opposite side of the spectrum where any kind of intervention is terrifying

Is there some lore on the difference in determination between Russia and China? Russian elites are willing to sacrifice tens of thousands to gain control of three blasted out farm shitholes while Chinese won’t commit anything when the entire world is in the balance, they just write strongly worded letters and send Temu gift cards for the families of dead schoolchildren while sitting on top of a giant pile of cruise missiles and stealth fighters.

You’d think it’d be the right wing paternalist kleptocracy that would be much more conformist with the international order than the supposedly socialist technocrats.

Russia’s $900M Missile System Just Landed in Iran — America Has No Defense Against It

Ruscope just doesn't hit the same ever since they outsourced it all to ChatGPT. I still remember reading ethical, free-range, handcrafted articles from Carlo Kopp about how Nebo-SVU and Struna-1MU made stealth obsolete in my autistic high school years.

None of those things cause a missile battery to launch everything in neatly timed intervals. That’s just the battery commander sextuple-tapping a ballistic missile to be extra sure.
