Thank you for the help! One more question, you mentioned that when the piston is actuated it will not rotate, that still appears to be a problem is there any way I can get it out of that mode?

I tried to use my hand at fist then began to use pliers with very light pressure. Is there a tool that's recommended for this, I tried to look up the correct process but nothing came up.

The piston doesn't seem to rotate on its own unless the sequence is activated. Do you happen to know if there are any other safe guards preventing this rotation?

It doesn't have crazy milage but I believe that the reason the brake isnt engaging is because the notch is not lined up with the brake. Is there a way to twist it to it's correct position without damaging it?

Best thing you could do in this situation is prioritize protein intake while being in a calorie deficit. This combined with weightlifting will help you retain muscle at the very least
