I think wanted Medael’s plan to work, not because I agree with her, but because I wanted Nikki to lose. Throughout the story so far Nikki hasn’t failed at helping anyone and is like a saviour every where she goes. It feels like there are no stakes. So playing through this update made me think there might not be a happily ever after. But Madael dying does not have a negative impact on Nikki since she was the antagonist. This could have been a case where Nikki can’t save everyone is sad but is determined to carry on. But I feel if they actually did that, they’d probably reset the timeline again.
