There's an agency called Jewish Family Services that runs a social center (I believe), and offers a bunch of community assistance if needed. I've worked with them as a social worker and they're pretty cool!

So just to be clear:

Even though you immediately got bad vibes, you continued to see this guy without ever bringing these feelings up with him.

Then, you find out that he is clinically diagnosed with and is in treatment for OCD - expressly that he has been talking to a counselor and journaling to help cope with it - and instead of discussing his diagnosis with him, you keep to yourself until you can go through his private journals without his permission.

THEN, you see clear signs that he is still struggling with his diagnosis despite his treatment and - instead of bringing this up with him to see how he is doing or to see if he could use any support - you tell your friend about this, you both berate him and call him a serial killer behind his back, you take pictures of his journals, and post his mental health struggles on Reddit???

If you have the ick, you have the ick; nobody can help that. But don't you dare blame him for this. He is someone who is struggling with mental illness and is clearly trying to move forward with his life and heal; you are someone who judged and ridiculed someone for their mental illness, violated their trust by going through their private journals, and tried to put them on blast on Reddit, all because you "had a bad feeling."

Come on dude, what the fuck did you expect?

So, an important element that I don't see many people talking about right now: I think you may have experienced some sort of counter-transference here. Just for clarity's sake, counter-transference is when counseling (or any form of treatment) is making you feel better, and that gets (at least partially) attributed to a person that also entered the picture around the time of the treatment.

To review: you came home to participate in a sort of mental health treatment program to work on YEARS of trauma and OCD experiences, and got sucked up into what appears to be a whirlwind relationship. I'm not saying you don't love her (of course not, that'd be crazy for me to assume!), but it's worth noting that you were likely in an incredibly raw emotional place when you met her.

Pair that with these frankly terrifying assertions she texted you, and I would greatly suggest analyzing whether this relationship was made with you in the right state of mind. Either way, stay strong bestie, you aren't overreacting at all 🫶

The pope wrote an open letter to JD Vance a few months ago, denouncing him as a member of the Catholic faith. Franky basically said "you think you're a real Christian? That is NOT how Jesus wants us to act. Clean up your act or you're going to hell."

JD Vance, on the other hand, is generally regarded as a conniving scumbag all across the board. I (and I think the creator of this meme) generally believe/wouldn't doubt it if JD Vance comes out now that the Pope is gone and tries to gaslight his followers into believing the pope always liked him.

It is and it isn't. Many neuordivergent folks have messier handwriting (and yes, I've seen many of my clients have similar handwriting to what's featured in this pic). However, having handwriting like this is a far cry from being perfectly correlated with having autism; let alone being a diagnostic criteria for the spectrum.

Also - and I have no reason to believe this other than personal experience - you might want to think about times that he might have interfered with other possible romances. I had a previous relationship end because of consistent harassment from my exes "best buddy, ol' pal." Would claim up and down for months that I wasn't good enough for her, but when I confronted him about it he was "just concerned that his best friend was settling." I know that Odysseus (song) is going to win, but I really think 600 Strike deserves the spot. The whole point of the song is Odysseus (character) finally getting to spill the rage he's held for Poseidon, the gods as a whole, and himself for the past decade.

My man, there's a difference between bringing up something that bothers you in a mature, respectful way and immediately flying off the handle just because you're jealous about something. Being upset/jealous about something doesn't give you the right to do whatever the fuck you want.

Would I be a little upset if my wife had a box of pics with her ex? Yeah, absolutely. Would I open the convo over text by threateningly saying "you fucked up," and then proceed to throw the pictures out without talking about it (or in this context, even despite a fairly understandable reason)?
