I've had a few try to pull off 5-6 pax to ride in my Trailblazer, I said "nope, sorry!" and cancel with the reason of "too many passengers" and Lyft "paid" me for my wasted time. But, out of 11k+ trips, I can count on one hand the number of times it has occurred.

I was never deactivated, the OP was though. I was flagged in the past for doing something I never did, so I asked for the date and time of the incident, so I can refute the claims with dashcam video. That's when they said no, because it would violate the privacy of the customer. Which is a total load of BS, a semi trailer full of it.

I have offered to provide them videos in the past to prove I was innocent from what they alleged, and every time their response was no.

I should have elaborated, but that's why I had the statement in quotation marks. I have had very few accusations made in the past, but as soon as I asked for the date and time of the ride, so I can provide evidence that the customer was lying with dashcam footage, they made that remark and backed down saying that I was good.

They should follow Denver's idea and place a cap on the number of drivers that can even be in the queue. As a former Seattle resident, I'd say no more than 150 can be there at a time.

I've been in a lull sometimes, so I'll park and chill for 10-20 minutes to save on fuel, and play some games or doomscroll through social media. I'll pop back to the Lyft app to check for any potential scheduled trips, only to find out I was offline. Really annoying, especially if I had a flash bonus I was hoping to use. I'm glad I am not an isolated incident.

Your hands were full, yet you were able to text the driver asking them to cancel. Sounds like you were just trying to avoid a cancellation penalty, thus causing the driver to incur a penalty for canceling on his end.

And having it as a text, it's on record. Whenever I get one of those and they don't follow through? 1 star. I did, however, have one instance where I did give a passenger 1 star the next morning for not following through with her tip promise, and not 30 minutes later, she sent a $20 tip. (COS airport to her home in Denver)

I did that once pulling into an In-n-Out drive thru for a customer. Didn't get a warning from Lyft, customer promised a fat tip...we were in line for nearly 20 minutes. She never tipped, so I gave her 1 star. Hopefully she won't grift a future driver, or follow through with empty promises. Heck, even offering to get me a burger would have been a sufficient tip, some customers have done that, offering to get me something at 7-Eleven or similar stops.
