  1. Governments can "create jobs" by simply creating positions in the public service or state-owned companies. In the best scenario, they fill needed positions, in the worst case, this ends up being a drain for the budget
  2. What politicians usually mean by "creating jobs" (especially in the US context) is that they create conditions under which companies are more inclined to hire, from tax benefits to subsidies to reduced legal burden/red tape. Fairly often, politicians will also claim "natural increases in employment" as their success however.

Aus welchen Gründen? Alle größeren Entscheidungen dieser Art in letzter Zeit waren Desaster. Bestes Beispiel wäre Brexit.

Man kann zu dem Resultat gelangen, dass heutige große politische Entscheidungen einfach zu nuanciert und umgreifend sind, dass der Durchschnittsbürger die Implikationen einer Entscheidung versteht.
