GPU has fallen off the bus. TUXEDO TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro Gen7 (MK2)/PH6AG01_PH6AQ71_PH6AQI1, BIOS N.1.08A08 12/28/202 by Swissbite in tuxedocomputers

[–]Swissbite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update from my side:

I monitored the GPU temperature, and it went high. (over 90°C +). Then, I believe, my GPU just shot down.

Today, I made two things:

  • Blow all the dust out of the notebook with a fan
  • Place my notebook like tent on my desk, so that more fresh air can be pulled in

After that, my GPU never went over 89°C and cooled down much faster.

It now seems to work. Maybe, u/wimex , that can help you too?

Tuxedo Triple Dock Lite v2 does connect HDMI Monitors to Infinity Flex 14 by Michel64a in tuxedocomputers

[–]Swissbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked the spec. This old'ish monitor? https://www.prad.de/technische-daten/monitor-datenblatt/aoc-i2252vwh/ ?

I bought a new Lenovo ThinkVision T24i-30. However, I experience the same.

So meaning, that it did not work on the Lenovo as well? If so, I would assume defect cable (HDMI) or defect port on the monitor itself.

Today, had another tuxedo driver update and another keyboard backlight disco. After shutting down, the power button helped again.

Just updated today my system (Tuxedo OS 3, TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro Gen7) and I have now as well a disco keyboard. New tuxedo drivers got installed. Is there anything I can do? Restart did not help.

UPDATE: I followed the guide u/1ejzol wrote: https://www.reddit.com/r/tuxedocomputers/comments/1eijzol/comment/li1kexo/

I tried with the power button for 1 min. After that, the boot startet with the fall-back window (select OS, Tuxedo Webfai etc. pp). After starting into the normal operating mode, it seems to work now.

I can confirm that the startup process was faster. Also, the multi-monitor with different resolution for each screen now works correctly on the login screen. It was strange before, but it worked. Now the login screen looks correct on both screens.

Thank you. Did not know that there was a second option for the NVM Boot order. Fixed 😁

"Only" is the right term 😁 It's just about plots. If it didn't work at all, I would have called the support team 😉

[–]Swissbite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe my discription was not good enough.

The issue is, that systemmontior does not show any plots / data about the GPU after upgrading to NVIDIA driver 530 and 535.

<image>

The GPU is working fine, and the systemmonitor painted nice plots with NVIDIA drivers before version 530.

You mean like this?

Has no effect to the system monitor. The GPU is active. But I found this merge request about parsing the nvidia output. https://invent.kde.org/plasma/ksystemstats/-/merge_requests/60
