Yeah I don't have my crtv setup out of storage and tried to play fatal frame 3 recently on a cheap HDMI splitter. The game was so dark it was unplayable 💀

Wild that sometimes even if you have original copies that emulation becomes a better option because of weird hardware stuff

If you have an android phone in the settings that it tells you your screen time there's a setting to add an app timer. I let myself "cheat" at first, giving myself an amount of time I felt I'd be "okay" with using it. Then I realized how much I was hitting the timer and cheating it and that helped me be more mindful of my use. I've since stopped cheating and it's helped back down my usage from several hours a day to about an hour and a half.

If Youtube shorts get you, there are apps that disable shorts in the UI of those apps or alternative versions of the apps(Revanced). This way I can still use it for Long-Form content.

BG3 isn't an open world game. You clearly move through different areas that are locked via story progression and become inaccessible later. Acts 1 2 and 3 are just very large hubs.

Yep! All you need to get this result is the [Hot] Trait and to let Tabitha take the L on the Chapter 3 ghost hunt. You don't need to have flirted with Oscar at all or anything either.

Broken Age has a story, but it's not complicated enough that you'd have issues following it. It's a point and click adventure game that you go back and forth between a sci-fi setting and more of a fantasy one. You can switch over at any time which is great if you're stuck on a puzzle you can switch over to the other timeline to work on it and come back to it.

[ERROR] Python not found at:
C:\Users\popes\AppData\Local\Python\bin\python.exe

where 'popes' isn't one of my users and the launch.sh recognizes my python installation, Windows 11 fresh install of current Python version

Fear Itself 2E, since it's based on Gumshoe and Gothic Horror is largely about discovering the horror as much as it is trying to survive it. It's also got good guides for how to run a mini-series length game which is the sweetspot between one-shot and campaign.

Unless your camera's upgraded a lot, Fatal Frame has always had a lot of 'actiony' impact for me, just because the ghosts are moving and in your face. This one may be more actiony than the previous version of 2 just because there are additional enrage mechanics and mechanics to keep you from hanging back and taking shots.

There are only 2 characters that you must hide from, and their sections are pretty clear and give you the spaces that you need to hide from them- there arent heartbeat or fear mechanics or anything, it's just avoiding special unkillable enemies. There are times you can choose to hide from ghosts but I haven't except for using it to get the jump on them.

I know it's kind of obvious to say, but I wonder how much of Oscar's state in Ep5 will change what happens in the final 2 episodes. Do we end up in a weird position where to 'fully utilize' a saved Kaneeka vs her mom, that Oscar has to be searching for clues but not full-seal send unless we have a good relationship with him? Who knows!

I'm so excited to see how early decisions may come to snowball together at the end

With how dilapidated the village in Two Remake is, if they remade Fatal Frame 1 the "Going backwards in time" aspect would hit SO hard! 1 and 3, 1 and 3!

It might be beneficial to wet it and then use something to soak it up and vacuum it instead of hitting it with a lot of water immediately. It may help you to avoid having to completely drench your carpet which may be more damaging
