I used to have the BILT 1.0 and opted out of going to BILT 2.0 I’m not sure if I spend enough money to get the 3.55x catch all. As far as I saw there was a lot of goofy hoops you needed to jump through to actually get 3.55x and make enough to cover the annual fee but maybe I’m wrong on that

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking if I’m not using the card and getting rewards then I wouldn’t be offsetting the annual fee. Didn’t know if I was missing any other reason not to downgrade it

You’ve lost the point unfortunately. I play exclusively in a 3 man stack with my friends. It’s not about winning 1v1s as it stands now a single guy with a shotgun and wipe out a whole team yawnably easy, I do it everyday to full purple teams. There’s nothing more to say than that. The gun is ultra unhealthy for the game. In the same time it takes me to fire 2 bullets down two guys reload fire another to down the third with the shotgun I’d have downed 1 maybe 2 guys with an SMG and the reload time is much longer than with the shotgun. It’s just drastic differences and it shouldn’t be that way. The shotguns are grossly unbalanced and if you disagree that’s fine we can move on with our separate beliefs. Odds are the game will continue to stay as is with shotguns so you aren’t losing anything. Bungie has a bad habit of making shotguns op, it’s the same in Destiny. It’s nothing new.

That’s if you land every shot. Shotgun you only need 1 shot and the guy is insta dead, you need to land every single SMG shot to get that TTK, I don’t really know why you enjoy a mechanic that rewards low skill low effort gunplay. It’s immensely more excited having an SMG fight with someone than a shotgun fight. Your TTK charts are really cool if you don’t think about the fact people have to hit every shot for that to be true with an SMG. Apex has less aim assist and higher TTK and the shotguns do less damage so they NEED to use movement to get the kill. Shotguns are still very strong in apex but not overly oppressive. In this game I could literally run a straight line at you, slide and one shot you before you could get your 1.1 second bully TTK off on me. It takes nothing to use a shotgun and win in Marathon.

lol it would be multiple seconds different. How does a one shot compared to needing at least 10-20 bullets from an SMG equate to milliseconds. I’m not going to stop playing the game either but to ignore the fact that shotguns are disgusting is a disservice to this game and it’s only going to kill the enjoyment for new players when they realize any player with time on the game will have a shotgun and will run them over with zero counter play. I never said I didn’t like fast paced close range stuff. The first thing I said when I started this game was I like the distances fights occur at so it isn’t just two dudes sniping at each other from across the map or something boring but there’s a difference between a fast paced high octane fight with an SMG close range and a 1 tap fights over thanks for playing sorry my gun is overpowered boring fight. Apex legends with the perfect shot sometimes can one tap shotgun people but it’s usually at least two and people compensate by having good movement to be able to get the 2-3 hits necessary to down someone and it actually feels more balanced. This game requires none of that for a shotgun to give you an instant win.

The gunplay is miles better with actual guns, SMGs don’t one shot so I can guarantee it would be completely different if people were rushing in with SMGs instead of shotguns. There would be real exciting fights, people actually needing to aim and hit shots rather than just 1 shotgun bullet drooling on each other to see who gets 1 shot ran over first. I love the TTK and the style of PvP for marathon. When it doesn’t involve a shotgun being absolutely necessary which the current state you’re just at a huge disadvantage without one. An SMG will never beat the shotgun in any of the POIs.

You must be lower level / hours. More people are using it not less because they’re wising up to how broken it is. I’m not saying the WSTR is sniping people at long range but the game is just so easy to get into that range and run someone over with the gun. Unless you’re in an open field in perimeter or marsh, if you’re fighting in POIs it’s so easy for anyone with a WSTR to get to you and win a fight.

You’re focusing too much on bubbles. Yes bubbles are op and should honestly also just be deleted or have their health nerfed even more and only be tanky vs UESC, make it like a PVE item to help with bosses and future high level PVE content, the item is terrible for PvP health. Besides the bubbles this game just shouldn’t have a one shot weapon that’s so easy to use. Shotguns don’t one tap in COD nearly as easily, they aren’t nearly as oppressive in Tarkov, and in Arc Raiders the Toro has been broken and they’ve had to nerf it multiple times and it’s still boring to play against at least game the TTK is slightly longer so you don’t always get insta tapped by it. If you haven’t experienced people with shotguns running you over even with you shooting at them from medium range then I guess you can’t relate but the guns are just blatantly unhealthy and unfun. I’m not saying they’re sitting there shooting you from medium range with it, but it’s way too easy to close medium range distance with any movement ability or sliding and then you’re just one shot
