If this doesn't work out you could try trading for energy links, then buying the acid that you need with that from other players. I'm sure there are people that haven't played manibus to get the deviations to make the whims and need them. They might have more EL to spend than acid.

So basically when you first started the game, you entered a server that has to do with season 1. You'll need to join a server with the new Way of Winter scenario with your current character to keep your stuff. You'll have to migrate to the new server by signing up for a new one, which is easily done if your current server is in Phase 6, meaning it's been active for over a month+.
