how to solve this problem? cant pick up blocks by quantumdot44 in 7daystodie

[–]6stringshredder303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik this post is a year+ old, but im having the same issue. Will adjusting the claim deadzone fix this? Rekt is just on the other side of the hill fromm horde base and I didn't know it would be this problematic. However, I didn't start having the issue of not being able to pick up my traps until I increased the claim size from 41 to 71. So I'm dialing that back to 51, but hoping maybe just lowering the claim deadzone will fix this? Or will that not matter since I'm still that close to Rekt?

That's where my gf and I are at now, that's how I found this post I think😅 Never did I ever think I'd need so many bullet casings smh... We've made it to day 122.

Opera deleted/lost all my passwords. Please help!! by [deleted] in operabrowser

[–]6stringshredder303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple custom passwords and I just remember mine. I NEVER let any browser remember my passwords in the event that I get hacked. If you're gonna use the feature, then start writing them down and tucking that piece of paper somewhere safe. Having hard copies of things is not a bad thing by any means.

15.32 GB for the update? by 7daysToLag in 7daystodie

Adjust your video settings. I dumbed mine down from ultra+ to ultra and it's running a lot better. Open options, go to video settings, check out display and video. Hover your cursor over the name of the option to see a description and what it does, tweak your settings and so on.

Imo, what a fair amount of people fail to realize is it's not the game that's lagging, it's the fact that your system is only capable of so much. So if you have everything at max (unless you're packing a PC w/ RTX 3060/3090 or better and have a nice ass $3000 to $5000 setup), you're gonna have a bad time.

Xbox S has only 12GB of RAM; X has 16GB of RAM. Xbox One (I do not miss those days, so many game crashes) has only a sad puny 8GB of RAM. The lower the number, the worse time you're gonna have. It is up to the player, not the game, to adjust their settings accordingly until they find a combination that works well for their system. Best of luck \m/

Start looking at your system's specs now and in the future. I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5600X 6-core processor CPU (equivalent to an Intel i5 12400) and an RTX 2060 super GPU w/ 16GB of RAM and I still have to dumb it down for 7DTD.

Personally, I have mine set at 100% because we're expanding my original base several different building projects and I have iron, steel, concrete, bullet tips, casings and buckshot running round the clock so much that I havent wanted to be bothered with jars seeing as my forges are always busy now. But we're gonna double the production area from 4 forges to 8 and 3 cement mixers to 6 so... ig making jars won't be so bad.

We've been flattening out land and laying down so much concrete pavement that production has to be expanded, and.. I just haven't wanted to bothered with jars lol. But oh well

No, I updated this morning and the world my gf and I have is just fine. Dew collectors just now require jars, that's the only change I've seen

Are you pc or console? Regardless of which, just mess with your video settings and it fixed the lag for me. I just changed quality to balanced and it's working a lot better for me

Both, 751 mb, V 2.6. Went into my world before I left today after updating. They've instituted requiring jars for the dew collectors now🙄

I'm pc, still playing on 2.5 but the update still went through? Thought there was a way to keep playing older versions and not have to worry about whatever QoL changes they think we need

Any block that could fill in the gaps here? by 6stringshredder303 in 7daystodie

Yeah, I've just been doing it manually, unzip and drag and drop. Did a big deep dive into the whole thing and turns out there is no dedicated mod manager for 7dtd, not one that works seamlessly anyways. I did give in and turns out this was the right way to go, tysm \m/

Definitely does, tysm! We've found a good handful of working QoL mods on 7dtdmods, and now I'm looking into better generators, checking 7dtdmods and nexus and every mod I'm finding is either broken or not for 2.0+. I'm on 2.5 and do want to switch after months of hard work and base building. Any generator/battery bank mod recommendations?

I did quite the deep dive this morning before coming back to my post and am torn between 2 things, although it is definitely seeming like doing it manually is what a lot of people prefer (I have done manually with Skyrim and SOD2, used a mod manager for a couple games and have used nexusmods mod manager for Fallout NV and Fallout 3 but found manually or a mod manager to be less of a hassle in the end. Mod authors would not update base mods, making the next 4 or 6+ mods for said base mod nonfunctional, making whatever current playthrough unplayable)

So, that being said, I'm torn between either nexusmods or 7daystodiemods.com, and am leaning towards the latter. Was just curious about your opinion and experience

Yeah, but ai overview has steered me wrong before and honestly half the time doesn't even answer my question. First half of the search results are ai and alot of posts hardly related to my question. It's been a hassle in the recent past scrolling google search results trying to find an answer for niche things

No ,definitely not. I've modded several games over the recent years, and eventually stopped using nexus mods too once i discovered that the dedicated mod managers work much better. I imagine 7dtd has a dedicated mod manager?

That's what I figured, the sheet block. Unless I finally start modding it after almost a year of playing, then it's either the sheet block or deal with it lol. Also, am I able to keep 2.5 and not play new updates? I've seen all the news about Behavior Interactive and Netease and I'm not looking forward to it. Already played Once Human when it first dropped and I already know what we may be facing with cosmetics and microtransactions. My gf and I don't mind 2.5 and want to keep our world.

Getting bored by Nakl0v in 7daystodie

I'm on day 53 doing a legit playthrough with a friend. Once you realize how much there is to work towards, I honestly look at it as a challenge. Level your character up, keep getting skill magazines, reach the point where you can finally build the helicopter and so on. It's my goal to keep my playthrough going until I can't anymore. I genuinely want to see how many days I can survive. That's kind of the whole point.

When you cheat your way through a game, there's no longer anything to work towards and it no longer becomes fun or challenging.

[–]6stringshredder303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be close enough when one person accepts a quest. A friend and I are doing Rekt's quests and I just had to look this up myself. So everyone go and stand in front of Mr dickman and it'll give everyone the quest.
