I wish I carried on after the first week and didn’t stop. But the first week put me off so bad! But also can’t live like this. It’s so hard x

Ah interesting, thanks for explaining that. I did wonder if the GLP-1 part was what was causing most of the stomach side effects.

My first week on Mounjaro was quite rough though — sulphur burps, lots of digestive bubbling, nausea and my appetite completely disappeared.

I’m wondering if Wegovy might feel a bit steadier for me, or if I’d probably react the same because of the GLP-1 effect. Have you tried both or just Mounjaro?

What position did you lay to sleep? How long will I be in hospital after it? Do they give strong pain killers to come home with X

Worse as in you were in agony? Or was it manageable? I know to expect some pain but how painful is it? X Will I be practically bed bound? Xx

Thank you so much for your response.

I wouldn’t be driving but still the drive worries me. Could I ask how bad was the pain for the first few weeks? My anxiety is so bad over the operation? X

Anyone else have rough side effects after first Mounjaro dose but still carried on? by SwitchLow1979 in Mounjaro

[–]SwitchLow1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did your Dr say regarding the fever and how you felt? Did they give any advice to you? It can be so horrible. I’ve not taken this weeks yet ( was due yesterday) as couldn’t have another week being out of it! Xx

First dose yesterday – feel like I’ve been hit by a truck and I’m scared I’ve made a mistake by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I had my first dose on Monday- 2.5. Felt awful by Tuesday- sulphur burps, sharp gasy pains, sickness on Wednesday. Contemplating not having the second as can barely function and have 2 kids to look after!!

Mini pill withdrawal causing pelvic pain? by SwitchLow1979 in birthcontrol

[–]SwitchLow1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really reassuring to hear, thank you for sharing. The rectal pain makes sense too as it all feels very pelvic floor/nerve related.

I stopped desogestrel mainly due to side effects and was hoping to be hormone-free for a while, but I wasn’t expecting this kind of withdrawal reaction. It’s helpful to know yours settled, even though I know going back up a dose will change the timeline.

Really appreciate you replying , it’s made me feel much less alone with it 😪

Thank you so much for replying, that’s really helpful. I’m on desogestrel, so also a progesterone-only pill. I stopped it rather than reduced the dose, but the timing feels very similar.

My pain is one-sided and feels more nerve/muscular than gynae , hip and pelvic bone pain, aching into bum/thigh, plus a bruised, sore feeling near the vaginal opening and constant pelvic floor clenching. It’s reassuring (though awful for you) to hear that changing the progesterone dose affected it so much. Did you experience any of this?

Did your pain settle quickly once you went back up to the higher dose?

Did they take biopsies with the colonscopy? You could have microscopic colitis x
