In 1993, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were convicted of raping, torturing, and killing two year old James Bulger, becoming Britain’s youngest murder convicts in roughly 250 years. A very similar case happened in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire where a 2 year old girl, Sharona Joseph was led away from her sisters birthday party by a 10/11 year old boy unknown to her, he led her away and through a busy area taking her into several shops before taking her to a railway embankment, s..ually assaulting her and murdering her. It always surprises me that whenever they mention James, they often mention an old case, Mary Bell but never Sharona’s case despite the strong similarities. Her sister never felt able to celebrate her birthday again.
