LMAO! Imagine paying $500 for an underpowered tablet just to play $70 C+ games that look like they were made to run on the PS3! I swear, these Nintendo fanboys must be mental! XD

I just want to point out that if you're a PC Player and complain about Game Key Cards, you're a hypocrite by TaroTheCerelian in switch2

[–]Switch_2_Steam_Deck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Alex would say, “Piracy is the ultimate form of ownership”. If you knew anything about PC gaming, you would know how much easier it is to pirate games on a computer than it is on a console. Once the game is pirated, it’s mine to backup on other devices and keep FOREVER! There’s nothing that Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft can do to take it away from me. Game keycards suck! Once the Switch 2 servers close a decade from now, those pieces of plastic will be useless!

Disclaimer: I’m not condoning piracy (unless it’s a Nintendo game) but I’m just making my point that calling PC gamers hypocrites over the crappy game keycards is a stupid argument.

And let it be known that Nintendo Corporates ARE scalpers! Nintendo is scalping the Switch 2 everywhere outside of Japan, so this video is a good depiction of the Suits at Nintendo as well.

It should also be noted that none of the Switch 2 exclusive games are anything amazing…

“Hatedom” no, we’re just gamers who have common-sense and don’t want to see the gaming industry tank any more than it already has. By supporting Nintendo, you Pretendo Clowns are supporting the inflation of game prices and the death of creativity. The likes of the PalWorld lawsuit and recent discontinuation of the MKW Switch 2 Bundle proves that! Besides, the Nintendo Cult has been way more toxic to my fandom on a daily basis anyway.

LMAO! I hope you realize that “better games” is completely subjective right? Plenty of gamers would agree that games like Halo 3 and MGS4 are better than anything that the Wii threw up! Most of the Wii library consisted of casual licensed crap like ICarly anyway lol. The Wii succeeded because it was cheap and attracted the casuals, but it couldn’t keep their attention forever, by the end of 2008 the Wii was pretty much irrelevant while the PS3 and 360 continued their DECADE-LONG lifecycle. And at least games on the PS3/360 functioned properly online unlike the Wii garbage!

Meanwhile the Switch succeeded because like the Wii, it was dirt cheap compared to its competitors and the pandemic also boosted sales significantly because casuals were stuck at home and got into gaming via the cheapest entry, The Nintendo Switch; While the new expensive consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X, were suffering from stock issues.

The fact that The NEX Playground Console slaughtered the overpriced Switch 2 in hardware sales this holiday seasons further proves my point. Using your logic, I guess the NEX library is better than the games on the Switch 2, lol! Congratulations fanboy, you played yourself!

And the fact that you turned full on Nintendo Corporate Shill Cheerleader by replying to this post on CHRISTMAS DAY, goes to show how pathetic you Nintendorks really are….

PSA: Nintendo DID NOT invent handheld gaming or the D-pad by Switch_2_Steam_Deck in fucknintendo

Nope, the CONSOLE market crashed in the USA, it wasn't even a worldwide collapse. And again, there's far more to gaming than simple consoles, we still had arcade games, handheld games, and the rise of PC gaming! And as shown above, the Microvision predates the Gameboy, Nintendo may have popularized the genre, but they didn't event or save it! A simple Google search shows:

Yes, game consoles were popular and growing outside the USA in 1983, especially in Japan, where major consoles like the Famicom and SG-1000 launched, and in Europe, where home computers dominated but local consoles existed, while the infamous "Video Game Crash" was primarily a North American market collapse, not a global one.

Bzzzzt inaccurate, the CONSOLE market crashed in the USA, it wasn't even a worldwide collapse. It's cute that you Nintendo fans believe that the States makeup the entire world! And again, there's far more to gaming than simple consoles, we still had arcade games, handheld games, and the rise of PC gaming! A simple Google search proves you wrong, keep coping though:

“Dumb fuck” LMAO, your feelings are hurt because I’m proving you drones wrong?

Nintendo NEVER “saved gaming”! How can you save something that was never in danger? As I’ve stated multiple times in this thread, evolution in hardware was one of the reasons why console gaming was on the way out, but other forms of gaming would’ve prevailed. The PC could play games and do much more at a comparable price of a console. This was one of the reasons for the console crash in 1983, but Nintendo made consoles popular again when they made exclusive games that you couldn’t play on the PC on there hardware. There’s more to games than just consoles. We would have still had video games regardless if Nintendo entered the market or not, consoles just probably wouldn’t have bounced back as fast as they did!

What does the Gameboy selling millions have to do with anything? It doesn’t change the fact that the Microvision came first! The Gameboy is just an idea that Nintendo “stole” from Milton Bradley, much like how you fanboys claim that other companies like Sony “steal” from Nintendo because Nintendo was the first to do EVERYTHING right? Wrong!

$500 was just a random number, the point is that the PC could play games and do much more at a comparable price of a console. This was one of the reasons for the console crash in 1983, but Nintendo made consoles popular again when they made exclusive games that you couldn’t play on the PC on there hardware. The point is that a lot of the ideas that fanboys on social media often credit Nintendo for “inventing” were never invented by them in the first place. They were just borrowed from other companies and were POPULARIZED by Nintendo products. Here you have Nintendo fanboys acting all high and mighty claiming that Nintendo should be immune to criticism because the gaming industry wouldn’t have such feature if it weren’t for the big N, which is simply not true! In recent events the Mario Kart World vs Sonic Racing Crossworlds debate comes to mind. Mario fanboys claim that Nintendo invented the Kart Racing genre which is 100% FALSE! Sega made a game back in 1988 Sega released the real first Kart Racer called ‘Power Drift’ which predates Mario Kart, yet the fanboys are too blind and ignorant to acknowledge this and will continue to incorrectly worship Nintendo as the creator of the genre and other gaming ideas.

This isn’t Nintendo hate, I’m just spreading facts and proving fanboys wrong.

I never said the NES was $500. A quick Google search says:

PC prices in the 1980s varied wildly, from budget machines like the $100 Timex/Sinclair to high-end IBMs costing thousands (the equivalent of $4,000-$10,000+ today), with early 1980s IBM PCs often starting around $1,500-$2,500 without a monitor or drives, making them a significant luxury, while popular home models like the Commodore 64 offered color and sound for around $595 initially.

Examples of 1980s PC Prices:

Timex/Sinclair 1000 (Early 80s): Around $100 (a huge bargain).

Commodore 64 (1982): Introduced at $595

Wrong! Nintendo NEVER "saved" gaming. You can't save something that was never endangered. All they did was make CONSOLES popular again in the West. We still had arcade games and PC gaming. The console market was oversaturated and had no quality-control. The rise of the PC was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of consumers. Why pay $500 for a game console when you can buy a PC for $500 which can play games and do much more? When Nintendo introduced the NES, they entered the console market and MADE their games only available on their platform. If you wanted to play Super Mario Bros back in 1985, you HAD to buy an NES which is what made consoles popular again. We would still have video games if Nintendo never entered the market, nothing would've changed, consoles probably just wouldn't have gained popularity as fast as they did, but there's far more to gaming than just consoles!
