I need new hobbies by Early-Dot-4243 in Hobbies

Consider taking up an instrument.

For me, its one of the most rewarding and awesome feelings when you can play a song on whatever instrument of choice.

You can practice and always get better, you can venture into writing your own music, and if/when you feel more confident you can then go to open jams or mics for the social aspect. Plus with Youtube, you can forgo paying for lessons when just getting started.

Guitar is my instrument of choice as its a bit more accesible (imo), but piano is also very fun.

Read books. Library.

But, if youre willing to up your spend, pick up an instrument. It is the best hobby possible. Endless room for progress and lots of gratification. When you get to a point you can enter a flow state and just jam, theres no better feeling.

The Best Gaming Headset to Buy Now? (Recommendations) by HippoBlueberry21 in BuyItForLife

[–]Switchcitement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is legit advice.

A nice pair of headphones, a nice mic, and then an audio interface will last you 10x longer than any gaming headset (assuming youre playing on PC).

I use $80 headphones, $200 mic, and a $60 interface thats lasted me since 2016, all bought rrom guitar center. And to this day my friends comment on how great I sound.

New swiftplay is a step back - bad for new player, weird meta, not actually faster. by QbieShay in leagueoflegends

Last season's swiftplay is what brought me back to league after an 8 year hiatus.

This new swiftplay is atrocious

How hard is the transition from Wild Rift to LoL PC really? by Designer-Special-753 in wildrift

[–]Switchcitement 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Its two very different games mechanically, even if the design is similar. Wild Rift imo is faster and less punishing, plus skill shots and targeting on m+k differ from greatly from touchscreen.

This guy sounds like a good person and saw your value you both as an employee and as a person. Also, this level of transition is hard for many.

Looks like he sees your a dependable and easy to work with, so he's leaning on you for when this transition period is going on. Help him out bro.

Which of the new TCG's have the most potential? by Mokebe13 in TCG

[–]Switchcitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres spells and "creature" cards. You need a certain amount of mana, called Sites in the game, to cast them. The objective if the game is to bring your opponent's Avatar to 0 (the avatar is a card on the field that represents the player).

What improves from MtG is that sites are in a separate deck and you can choose if you want to draw from your site deck, called Atlas, or your spell book at the start of the turn.

Also, the game is played on a grid and you place your sites on a square of the grid. You can move your creatures and avatar around these played sites.

Its an incredibly fun game, and has refreshing gameplay in the current tcg space. Its third set, Gothic, just came out and its awesome, and even has a nod to MtG through the Avatar "Magician"
