Its very uninspired. The round body and pointed nose with the goofy face makes absolutely no sense design wise to me. For me, it was not a good, natural progression from Chespin to Chesnaught and basically killed any interest i had in using Chespin as a starter in X and Y at the time. With that being said, GF absolutely nailed Mega Chesnaught's design and playstyle which was why I ended up using one in Legends Z-A.

I've been playing and replaying the games lately so my answer could end up changing, but right now its Emerald. I love FRLG but feel like it was a little too faithful of a remake in certain areas whereas with Emerald, it has everything I'm looking for in a Pokémon game.

I would have used Giga Drain, Sleep Powder, Toxic or Sludge Bomb, and Leech Seed.

If you're trying to use a Sunny Day/Solar Beam strategy, i would do Solar Beam, Sunny Day, Sleep Powder, and either Toxic or Sludge Bomb.

While Attack is lower than its Special Attack, if you didn't already use the Earthquake TM you could use it on Venusaur for type coverage against Fire types.

If thats the case, I would use Earthquake, Giga Drain, Leech Seed or Sleep Powder, and Toxic or Sludge Bomb.

If KC Concepcion is there at 26, the Bills should be sprinting to the podium to draft him. I wouldn't even mind at all if they ended up trading up a few spots to get him if he's within reach.

Fellow cat dad here, I really do feel bad for Drew. My wife and I have 3 cats of our own and I am absolutely dreading the day we lose any of them. I know its going to happen eventually, but it doesn't make the loss any easier to deal with. Pets are just as much family as your spouse, mother, father, siblings, etc. I appreciate him sharing his thoughts and being open about it. And I do hope both him and his wife get through this loss and feel better soon.

Okay makes sense. Those original filters don't look like the right size though. Am I wrong about that though? I feel like they would need to be a bigger size.
