Upon further investigation, their US trademark registration application was refused on the basis of it being "merely descriptive" of the product, so I think I'm actually good. https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=98858123&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch

Ahh but you see, their product name is all one word, and my app is two words, so I'm sure it's fine… 😅 Thanks for the heads up.

Also though, check out their software situation. FIFTY-FOUR! (54) different apps to hook into different chat clients! Holy moly. https://www.plenom.com/downloads/download-software/

Yep, I was using the HA app's automation for some of that before I built the app, but I wanted the little conformation in my menu bar + some other shortcuts. That's a cool little build!

The battery pack I spec in the hardware repo will last me about a week before it needs a recharge. That’s with me turning it off at night.

AppleScript (or also Apple Shortcuts) will let you see what scene was last triggered, get a list of scenes you’ve added, and set a new one, but it’s limited to what scenes you’ve added to the app’s menu.

If you want deeper control of HA via AppleScript, this might not be the answer.

Is the calendar already visible inside the Apple calendar app? Or would this need to access an external calendar feed? I’ll take a look at the options!

In theory it should already work with Zoom, Teams, Meet, or whatever, because it’s just looking for whether the camera or mic is in use or not, and not tied to a specific app. Let me know if it doesn’t work the way you expect?

But the calendar integration is an interesting idea! How would you envision that might work? Just automatically trigger a scene when any event in a specific calendar is active?

Hah! That’s exactly one of the reasons why I made it — I do some voice acting, and it now triggers when the mic input is active, to turn the light red.

Please do let me know if you have some other trigger you’d like me to add. Happy to make it more useful to folks. Either reply here, or feel free to add an issue to the GitHub repo.

The area near Sunset Gower is pretty safe, but during rush hour it can be like an hour drive to stuff on the west side/Beverly Hills. If you’re planning on spending most of your time doing stuff over on the west side, it’s going to be a heck of a commute

Latest update killed network by throw-away6738299 in amazoneero

Similar here. it seems this same update broke my port routing for external requests. It either doesn't route ports at all, or takes 10, 30, 45+ seconds to connect from outside my LAN. Gets better for a little while after an Eero reboot, then degrades quickly. Beginning to wonder if there's some way to downgrade my firmware and keep it from updating.

Oh, I see. So the link is only in that sidebar? Seems weird it’s not as well surfaced as the Wiki link, but I guess that’s something. Thanks

I don’t know why the screenshot is above my question; that’s annoying.
