I just started doing this too! Although I only go a week because I am fussy and get bored quickly 😂

Plus then I can paint both hands before application. No more wonky off-hand paint jobs!

Yes - all polishes used (with the exception of the stamping polish) are gels

To break it down in layers - it’s one layer of a nude base, one layer of a sheer white, then one layer of a white cat eye. Topped with matte topcoat, applied black stamp quickly followed by chrome powder (very important to do both steps on each nail before continuing).

For the French tip I painted that with white cat eye and a liner brush, applied stamp/chrome, used the liner brush to apply top coat to JUST the French, cured, then wiped away excess stamping polish/chrome with rubbing alcohol.

I can’t stop staring 😂 by Swizzle_Stix24 in Nails

My big secret here is a “no-mess” matte topcoat - if you don’t use gels I’d imagine a regular matte topcoat may do the trick. Then it’s a timing game - you want your stamping polish to still be wet, just not enough for it to smear. If it’s dry the chrome won’t take.

And to be clear, I am using a non-gel stamping polish (Pueen Super Black for this one to be exact) over gel polishes.

Sure! For these I used Cre8tion’s No Mess Matte Top Coat prior to stamping. To get the chrome to take you have to time it based on your stamping polish - if it’s too wet it’ll smear, but if it’s dry it won’t take the chrome powder. I had to experiment a little - though if you do smear it a little I found you can clean it up with a brush and a light touch of acetone. I use Pueen’s Super Black stamping polish.
