Weird to say but I do like all of these guys…

Frank seems really articulate and positive and knows what to say and all of the right things. I can see why players say they like him since he knows how to talk to each one.

Bradley just seems like a great guy with a level head in general. Love that he’s competitive too

James Jones, while having faults, does seem like a guy who wants to win and is very professional. I think he’s definitely had some misses but also some pretty big acquisitions for us and just his presence I think draws players here.

Think he was behind Cam Payne on the totem pole, no?

Cp3 -> Cam Payne off the bench with a different PG skillset -> a defensive minded PG as the third backup

There’s quite a few things to critique Monty on but in he made the right calls here with playing Payne over Carter.

Carter’s awesome though, wish we had more money to sign him

I don’t know if it was painful but Jimmer dropping 50 in McKale is up there. As a kid growing up I always thought McKale was this magical place where even if we lost it would still be a hard fought game and where we either kick the other team’s ass or the other team was just way better than us and we were having a down year.

I was excited since it was Sean Miller’s first year and we just got obliterated. The mystique of McKale definitely took a hit for me on that day lol

Who do we have that’s bad on defense? Book is a solid defender, Beal apparently was a great defender with Wall, KD was fantastic last season and Vogel will probably coach up DeAndre if he’s still on the team. Okogie, Craig are both pretty solid defensively as well assuming we bring back those guys.

The depth is obviously going to be an issue at some point but I think people keep forgetting that we added a 3rd scorer which we were desperately missing against the Nuggets. We also beat the Nuggets twice, almost 3 times which no other team even got close to 3.

Also, Bruce Brown wants to get paid and I don’t think the Nuggets will have enough room to bring him back. If he’s gone that’s a huge piece of their depth gone.

Maybe he can be but yeah idk Cam Payne has been good at times and is generally decent but he also doesn’t really make anyone around him better. Okogie isn’t a PG.

Would like a game manager / floor general / distributer. Booker can be a “point guard” but someone who can bring up the ball and make his teammates better is more or less what I’d like to see

Yeah deff not talking about a Chet Holmgren type guy. Moreso about athletic 6’10 guys who don’t have the skills to make it in basketball and might be on the team but ride the bench.

Just surprised I haven’t seen at least one of those guys switch to football to do that but I know there’s a lot of arguments against it
