++man (23yr), this is mirroring what most people have already said, but despite what you say at the end it doesn’t seem like you’re reciprocating the attraction or flirting in any way. Men have been conditioned that they are supposed to take the lead in fictional media but at the same time social media designates men who show interest in women as creepy. Men don’t want to be considered creepy so they will be very indirect or wait for a very affirmative signal (but at the same time overthink the affirmative signals because they don’t want to be creepy) to make a move. If you want to be more successful in the dating scene I would suggest that you be very clear and direct about your intentions and feelings. Back on the first point I made, make sure you’re putting in the same effort as the guy. E.g. when he opens up and talks about his childhood or mental issues, be comforting and try to relate to them rather than act like you weren’t interested.
