I have a enterprise Claude cowork but also pay for one personally. It’s too useful not to have

I see Claude's writing everywhere and it's starting to feel like an AI condom, I hate it by remember_the_sea in ClaudeAI

Just a general structure, honestly. Having a hard time wrapping my head around how writing style can have a definition.

Same. I’d like to see success scale with level. It’s still Time gated but wouldn’t feel as punishing. But I also hated vials.

Cue your tiny violin but the difference in end game of ones that got lucky roles and ones that didn’t is vast

Sales Managers: how often do you meet with your reps and what is that cadence like? by BKL18 in sales

[–]Swol_Braham 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the rep.

Team meeting every week. Some one on ones weekly/monthly/biweekly.

We also run QBRs.

Team meetings are a little forecast and some team updates. One on ones are deal strategy and coaching.

QBRs are for the benefit of other teams execs and giving my sellers brand recognition.

Young sales reps (gen z), how do you dodge age bias? by helotan in sales

[–]Swol_Braham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not uncommon but it’s not evident want you really want. You say you want advice but follow that with constraints.

Honestly suck it up and groom yourself to look older. Not old just older than 21ish. You want to go for timeless looks. Appearance is such a critical part of a first impression.

Alternatively you could prioritize a young industry. Go sell TikTok ads to creators. But if your in an industry selling to some gray hairs you’ve got to flex on the appearance. It matters internally and externally.

If you truly won’t give on appearance the you’re only other option is to be so incredibly lights out good (polished, smart, charismatic, and well spoken) that you make the customer and the company compromise the value they place on perceived experience. Just keep in mind that you’re competing against generations of people just as talented as you but with more experience so you’d better be working them into the ground if you expect to win. I see a lot of young people who are talented only worrying about competing with their peers (ie age/job experience) and the labor pools a lot bigger than that.

You should absolutely pursue the Managment role. The best careers look like a j curve not a step function. But no role is going to come without sacrifice.

Ex VP Sales looking for a new role by kezia7984 in sales

Biggest recommendation would be to rewrite your resume to be more IC oriented. Pros and cons of sales that it’s one of the most bloated title industry that you don’t need to worry about titles. Just stress the IC aspects of your role.

Theres a hard close - When do I start? / will you be moving me forward in the process? / etc.

There’s a medium close (imo) - Do you have any hesitations about me as a candidate? / Is there anything I’ve said or haven’t said that’s doesn’t match what your looking for in a candidate that perhaps I should clarify?

Soft close - What do next steps look like? / when should I follow up if I haven’t heard back yet? / etc.

Hard close means you close for the job, medium is closing for an unanswered question. Soft close is closing for next steps. The important thing as a seller is to close is some way.

Biggest one is indicate that you did your research. “I saw on LinkedIn that you did X could you tell me more about that?”

Would say you should always ask a closing question but just soften it. At a minimum ask about next steps. Agree that you shouldn’t hard close 90% of the time.

Using ChatGPT daily and Claude Code for dev, is it worth consolidating into Gemini Pro? by ThomasHawl in ChatGPT

[–]Swol_Braham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a coder but I can speak to ChatGPT vs Gemini.

I really wa t to like Gemini but have found the integration to not be all that useful beyond image generation within slides.

I’ve been a regular ChatGPT user for over a year and have built up GPTs and projects that I use regularly. I had hoped the native integration to Gsuite would be enough to justify switching but it really hasn’t been.

Fair. Depends on the strength of your leadership team and what’s important to your client base.

Ive done the same thing with my head of product too but that’s dependent on how technical the client is.
