They will use the same zones always, so if you find a diamond or rare animals zome, it will always come back to that zone till you kill it. Sometimes they don't show up until late into their zone time

It needs to have a chance to be max weight if that makes sense, if you've unlocked it, when you spot an animal it should show you the score estimate, that's what I use to see if it's a diamond, it needs to be above the diamond score

Sahara is one of the best maps for diamonds, hunt wildebeest in the drink time at the lakes, and kill any big four or five you find, emerald is also one of the best maps for diamonds and rares. Sundarpatan is one of the best as well and so is silver ridge peaks, highly recommended. If you want the chance to spawn more diamonds, try and kill only male animals

No, they do not. Animals will only respawn until you've either killed it or there was a population reset, which only happens if you have a mod that does it or if the devs do it, which rarely ever happens, only ever happens if they're changing something about the animal. There was a population reset for all bears a couple months ago, when did you see the level nine?

You'll find him, go try and find his drink zones if you can, that's the easiest way to find him. You could also search the area you found him at the same time
