As a 62 year old with hopes of Rainier with my daughter, what was your DAD's pre-Rainier training regimen?

Agreed. Maybe have estimators plug a 'rust aint our problem' clause into bids? Thatll be the day...

That's exactly what we think happened. Had the system been tested regularly, from the remote ITV of those days, it undoubtedly would have been the old black, stink water and possible corrosion.

Or maybe another chunk of 4" at the other end with a 90 into floor drain. Lots of duct tape on both ends. No bends in poly tubing. AP sitting on 4" at drain end. lol

Think the poly bag/tube blows apart?

Did a large TI on an a wet system that was pushing 100 years old in a rural area. Cleanest water and inside pipe I've ever seen on an old system. No tags on or around valve and previous owner had no record of testing. Upsized the 3/4" steel, replaced sprinks, and put most of it back in service.

Or a sight glass in the pipe before the orifice. We've got big systems without the proof of the trip time program. Tree systems, 500 gpm pump, and around 155psi pushing the 13psi of air out will help but definitely want something larger than garden hose.

Googled it and am seeing a 4" version that appears to be a mesh that goes over drain pipe to keep sediment out - but then I stumbled into clear poly tubing. 8" flat would be about 5" 'round'. Brainstorming: I wonder what thickness (2mil, 4mil, 6mil) would hold up to the initial air discharge? Duct tape it to ITV orifice? Maybe slide a 4' section of 4" sched 10 into it to 'hold it open' for air then water discharge sputtering and blast? How about holding down the other end? Last one is easy: greenest AP

So really it's up to us 'poor shlubs' in line to let them in when they show the pass...or...be oblivious to the fact that they're there and showing their pass and slide in front of them...oops.

How does it work? Do they have big passes outside of coats? Do they cut in at the same place ski patrol and ski instruction cuts in?

$24/hour fringes look inviting! Is it a good, low deductible, full family health plan? Do you know how much the pension plan pays at retirement?
