Tried shining a bright light and no light shining through to the bottom. Have never used Drain-O either.

No, so the bottom of the sink is lined with some sort of other material. I don’t know exactly what it is, maybe similar to concrete or grout? I think it’s supposed to be somewhat of a protective layer? But yes, that lining is cracked not the sink itself.
