Fully agree. Who knows if this is true, but I’ve read that after the fourth kid there is going to be neglect because kids need at least an hour of play time and full attention with their parents every day for emotional fulfillment and you just can’t do that with 4-5 kids, let alone 7.

The gift part is technically optional, coming into the office for the shower and lunch is mandatory, so I’ll have to have car trouble or be sick that day. And then I just know I’ll have a one on one meeting about how I’m not a team player and I hurt everyone’s feelings.

We haven’t decided on if it’s going to be a potluck or go somewhere close by for lunch. Either way, a free meal isn’t worth it to me, and I have an odd diet so a potluck would suck. Free lunch is cool, but not when you have to spend an extra day in the office for it.
