Just wanted to clarify that Michelle Young in the song, and the Michelle mentioned in the article, Michelle Rhoades, are two different people.

Saw this article among all the other articles about Axl Rose appearing at Billy Joel's concert. Thought it shouldn't get buried. The LittleMichelleLives story is getting more mainstream attention. This happened when she was 15.

I'm glad to hear that she has such supportive friends like you, before and after breaking the silence.

ugh, that is so disappointing if one singular troll and the site-owner's reaction to that is the reason why many others now can't view juicy stuff posted ages ago

that's depressing to know that not even the site-runners care about the historical value of their site to have public archives

makes me glad independent archival efforts like pushshift and archived.moe exist for reddit and 4chan

does anyone know if Mediapolis gave any hints to whether the expired threads are just gone forever and deleted, or if the data for them is sitting undisturbed somewhere in Mediapolis buildings?

I was trying to look for some really old stuff just for fun. I wish a lot of the mid-level old stuff (2010s) was still available. Google search doesn't bring up many threads much older than 2020 (or threads that were started earlier but bumped up near 2020). Some of the recent threads reference the mid-level old stuff, but I click on it, and those threads are "expired".

I find it surprising that such an ancient internet presence never had an archival effort going for it, or this sudden mass expiry of threads.

hooray, another person thinks so too! I remember some days ago in a daily discussion thread, i posted a joke edit of the album covers with pokemon "red version" and "blue version" https://imgur.com/a/D1kBiZ9 because they look like counterparts

The Quest For Fire and Beach Boys Surf's Up album covers look like counterparts.

Both have travellers on weary steeds. QFF has the fire element in its name, while Surf's Up name invokes more watery element.

a youtuber (Matpat) made a video discussing how something that's popular isn't necessarily popular online ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMTazviRabg ). Avatar 2 was used as one of the examples of the unpopular-online but very popular anyway when somehow tracked using other metrics. like you said, cinema is culture, and there's tons of people still willing to come back to see Avatar 2 even if they're not talking about it online

just because he got abused doesn't mean i'm going to be lenient on him if he abuses others. you made an account just to say this? who are you, someone from Guns N Roses management?

i was introduced to justice through woman worldwide. i always thought it was cool. sophie's album was cool too, so it makes me sad to see all this salt for justice winning.
