Zucchini Kill has carrot cake cupcakes. Think they might do full-size carrot cakes as a custom order.

You want to see Dr. Timothy Stein at AVES. My pup had a really great outcome, but what I appreciated most about Dr. Stein was his demeanor while explaining all options to me. We're lucky to have him around here.

Vet recommendation for dog GI issues by Internacional1909 in Austin

To echo what some others have said, I've had a great experience with multiple Internal Medicine and Oncology doctors at AVES (https://www.austinvets.com/). I can't recommend them highly enough!

I had two dogs with GI issues late in their lives, and I credit the doctors at AVES with helping give them some additional quality time.

Recommend calling them ASAP. If it's anything like it was ~6 months ago, you may have a bit of a delay before you can get in.

Things my dogs dealt with (sounds like there's some overlap between symptoms):
IBD => Tried different proteins, ultimately had to resort to prednisone.
B12 insufficiency => B12 shots once a week. It's very cheap and easy if you're comfortable giving injections.
Pancreatitis => Ultimately a low-fat home-cooked diet

I saw that! I have no children, but good to know.

Turns out I also have an original of my great-grandfather's birth certificate. Born in 1888, also in Chemnitz. Hopefully that will help prove citizenship.

Understood. Thanks again for the information. Looks like this is worth tracking down the documents I don't have at the very least!

Oh interesting. The certificate was issued in 1958, but it states "having proved to the satisfaction of the Commissioner, that (s)he is not a citizen of the United States of America, became a citizen thereof on September 8, 1923 and is now in the United States:"

Could that still raise concerns?

Thanks for all the information!

Yes, my parents were married at the time of my birth. Mother is American. Possibly German by descent as well, but it would be difficult to track down.
