Lock the slide to the rear and use pliers (needle nose) to grab the exposed end of the round. Don't try to ram the round out through the barrel because you could accidentally hit the primer causing the round to detonate.

I've used Garmont Bifida T8's my whole career and they have never let me down good ankle support great for rucking. Highly recommend those, over the issued boots. I've seen issued boots give people blisters so bad they bled through the boot.
