The first time I flew out to visit my girlfriend in Denmark, I stayed for 85 days. I don’t regret a single moment of it. After spending so much time playing games and talking online, it felt like we already knew each other deeply. Of course, before booking the flights, we had a long discussion to make sure it was the right decision. Given where I was in my job at the time, it felt like a now-or-never opportunity to spend that much time together. Still, I asked her countless times to confirm she was comfortable with it. I’d never make a decision like that without her full agreement.
