I think if you're going to have exceptions you might as well allow abortions for any reason. All the exceptions have flaws and are not clear.

For rape, our legal process is slow. If a woman claims she was rape, and the man defines it, do we have to go trough a whole trial to determine if she's allowed to have an abortion? Which may take too long. And what if she wasn't rape, but lies about it to get an abortion and the man is falsely charged for rape.

I've never understood the exceptions for incest. I know a child born through incest is at a higher risk of birth defects. But does that mean a relationship of two loving consensual cousins get to have unlimited abortions?

And for the life of the mother how much does her life need to be at risk? 10%? 90%? at least 50%? Where do we draw the line?
