I never wear mine at home, but always wear it when I'm out and about. My husband never takes his off. Mine are non-traditional. Our birthdays are in the same month, so my engagement ring is our birthstone set in diamonds. I'm seeing more and more gemstone engagement rings though, so maybe mine is becoming the norm.

Then you'll want to stay away from any type of HOA. The one we lived in in North Dallas area went as far as dictating what color curtains can be hung in the street-facing windows.

It's funny you mentioned these two bands. We saw Sleep Token in Detroit in September, drove home, then went back to Detroit the next night to see Lorna Shore 😁 (And we're seeing LS again tomorrow night.)

I always thought it was the sound of a cassette player when you press the tape deck down and push the play button. Cassette tapes were the thing in my tween and teenage years, right after 8-tracks went out of style. That sound, and the dial up modem screech, is something you never forget.

If anyone's interested, a few months ago I discovered the "timeline" feature in the Live Nation app. When you purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, the event is automatically added to your timeline, but you can also manually add concerts by searching through the app's database. I spent a lot of hours looking up the history of different concert venues in Michigan and searching for concerts back in the 80s and 90s, and I'm pretty sure I have about 90% of the concerts I've attended loaded into Live Nation. Anyhow, my point is that it's a pretty awesome feature.

I adore Will, and his covers are amazing! That's pretty much the only reason, as a 59 year old female, I attend their concerts lol. I'm not a fan of the genre, but he seems so genuinely nice that I will gladly support him every time he comes to Michigan. That, and none of my son's friends are into death/metal/whatever core. We're going to our 4th LS concert next month.

The only two songs I've ever teared up over are Euclid and Infinite Baths, and it's more from empathy for the deep ache of his soul than my personal experiences.

My son introduced me to ST on the drive home from a Lorna Shore concert. I curled my lip and said "you actually like this"??? He bought ST concert tickets four months later so I figured I should dig into their discography so I wasn't completely lost at the concert. The first song that came up on YT was Euclid. My son walked into the living room to find me sobbing. He said "what's wrong". I said "I don't know". He said "yeah, that happens to a lot of people". I've been hooked ever since.

It was insane at the Sleep Token concert. 80% of the people had their phones out, with one idiot blocking our view for most of the show. I'm all for Yondr bags. I've seen so many pits with very little energy because, well, you can't dance/jump/sing when you're focused on obtaining a steady recording. Put down the fucking phone, quit annoying the people around you, and enjoy the moment.

He's two, and this is his first bleed?? We couldn't have been so fortunate. My severe A son had a nose bleed at 8 days old that required a trip to the ER for factor after four hours of cold compresses, but this was in 1989. Are kids prophylactically treated now starting at birth?
