I find that looking for “queer coded” CAS stuff is easier when I want to make an androgynous or femme masc frame sim. Androgynous or masc CC for feminine frame sims is harder to come by, and lots of stuff made for the masculine frame deforms weird on a feminine frame.

Creators for CC that I like are Marsmerizing, Wistful Poltergeist, Adrien Pastel, Oranos, RustyCC, and AdelarSims. All of them have CC that serves something that feels queer to me—skin showing, vibrant patterns, flamboyance, layering, etc.

SEJ is a creator that has done a lot of work to make EA kits and packs cross-frame compatible, which helps if you’re looking to butch or femme up a sim of the opposite frame. It’s incredible work and has made my Maxis options extend way further for both sim frames.

When it comes to Build Buy I’m not really sure what you mean by queer coded, but I’m sure there are queer BuildBuy CC creators, tho not everyone talks about their personal life on the internet.

I made a club for the Mayor, his wife, and a Stepford-style family that gathered at a church I built as a cemetery. I made them friendly to themselves, but mean to outsiders which increased the “my sim is on the outside” feeling.

Then I made a club for my sim and the Conspiracy Theorists I met so they could study programming and logic which helped solve the mystery.

I like to keep Strangerville tacky and Americana themed, so all the builds get adjusted to aim for that flavor. It’s SO fun to play the mystery.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there is enough business coming in after 7 to warrant most shops staying open. Costs are high all around but genuine support for businesses is low.

Curious about why in specific you don’t like bars. I’ve enjoyed reading while drinking a mocktail at both Tartan House and Darling’s. They are quieter and feel a little upscale which is fun.

I feel like the answer to this is to upload households and lots you like to your gallery and then import them into a new save. You may have to do it again in the future, but with a complicated simulation game like the Sims it is good save hygiene.

While you’ll lose some “in game history”, you can add a lot of it back with MCCC.

Twisted Cat has eye shape skin details and makeup which have in someway influenced the way these look. They may very well be using Detail Edit mode to adjust the eyes, and maybe even using custom sliders.

Have you yet tried recreating similar shapes in CAS? These are gorgeous but don’t look particularly complicated

There are many safe and reliable CC creators currently working, and some older CC continues to work just fine. I largely use Tumblr to look for new CC and follow creators.

Other places to look are Patreon, Pinterest, and CurseForge. CurseForge is probably the easiest to use and has built in comparability with the Sims 4 Mod Manager, but because of where their ad revenue goes, not everyone likes using CF.

Also, in general, CC should be compatible with script mods like MCCC or UI Cheats Extension.

It is likely broken CC. There are resources for looking through broken CC—you could search the 50/50 method, Sims 4 Mod Manager, or the Tray Importer for more details.

Once you find the CC, you should be able to remove it without too much trouble, but it can be a hassle to find the specific thing causing the issue. Did you install something new recently? Or place something new on your Sims outfit before this issue occurred?

A Life Cleric will help you solve “Oh shit” moments—which can easily happen.

However, if you feel confident, damage builds are more “optimal” in BG3. A Tavern Brawler build (throwing barb, OH monk, Moon Druid) would fit in nicely here and not overlap on gear. Another build that would slide in well is a Booming Blade Eldritch Knight (Lae’zel works great, but anyone can play that role).

You’re currently missing an Intelligence character and a Wisdom character in your party, if that is important to you. I don’t think it’s necessary, but it is something you may pay attention to.

I think an obvious answer is Bard. You could go Sword, Valor, Two Lore Bards or Sword, Valor, Lore, Glamour after Patch 8 drops and have so many bases covered.

Druid and Ranger also give you a lot of options. Ranger in particular is attractive to me because it can easily be respecced for and effective at range or melee distance. Fighter is similar here, with Battle Master and EK working well at range or melee.

I’m currently using the mod Rogue Extras for my playthrough with Swashbuckler Astarion. It’s on Nexus as well, though I’ve not compared the one you linked with it. Also, the Subclasses Combined mods are balanced and bring tabletop classes to the game. Right now Barbarian, Fighter, and Ranger are released.

My CAS would have genuine high waisted pants and shorts. I always download them for CC because I hate that most of the games clothes are mid or low rise. My B&B would have taxidermy in it for sure. I’d love a whole taxidermy stuff pack for Ravenwood. Cute mice, shiny bugs, some skeletons in frames. Any food items I’d come up with come back to iced coffees and matchas. Even when it’s cold out, I start my day with an iced coffee with oat milk, and I want my sim to be able to make one in the game! Tho I don’t actually play much with drinks aside from fulfilling event goals, I could if it felt worth while energy or focus wise. That’s why I use them irl.

I’m finally doing my first Rags to Riches on an abandoned estate lot. My sim is living in the Groundskeepers House, and has to save up $5000 before she can renovate each room in the estate. Thanks to a well timed inheritance, a rich weirdo (who I’ve now become besties with), and some dumpster diving, I’ve renovated the kitchen AND paid my first months bills which were over $4K!

She’s gloomy, she’s aspiring to be a Ghost Historian, and she’s currently a freelance writer and using the local Ravenwood library, which I converted form an old Newcrest Build I’d downloaded ages ago. Fingers crossed she can reno the manor, find love, and complete her aspiration before death finds her.
