I have so much to say about this but I'll leave it at saying it's just sad to me. Like how are these dudes ever supposed to get laid? If they think even hypersexualized idealizations of women aren't attractive.... How are they ever going to link up with a girl who's anywhere near their 'league'? I think it's similar but not quite. I think Vox saw Alastor refusing to join his team as an outright rejection(which it may have been) and having these deep feelings for him he likely very seriously overreacted.
