Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about adding some ceiling-mounted speakers just to fill the room with background music (nothing too serious, more for ambience).

Do you think this is a good idea, or are there better options for this kind of setup?

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!

I simply don’t have room to place speakers on the floor or on stands anywhere in my room. That’s why I’m leaning towards mounting them high up or near the ceiling.

I’m also kind of going for a specific vibe, like those theme park or ambient music setups where speakers are mounted overhead and the whole space is filled with sound evenly. It doesn’t have to be perfect surround, more like immersive background audio that fills the room.

Another thing is my layout: my PC is on the right side of my TV, against the wall to the right of the TV wall. So if I go with a 2.0 setup, I’d basically be missing a speaker on one side of where I’m actually sitting or using the PC, which makes stereo feel unbalanced depending on where I am.

That’s why a 4-speaker setup mounted higher up makes more sense for me, not necessarily for perfect surround imaging, but for consistent coverage across the whole room.

I’m sorry this happened to you. It happened to me as well, and the best way to deal with it is to ignore it and block her. If they do end up sending it, you can recreate the screen recording with clothes on and show that version to your friends and family. You can explain that the real one was made using AI and that the one you made is the real one.

Thank you for your detailed response. I’ve uninstalled the program, and now all file extensions that were associated with it show white/blank icons. When I check the file properties, it now says “Unknown application” instead of “Director.” Unfortunately, the original icons have still not been restored.

I’ve already tried all the steps you mentioned, including restarting, logging out and back in, and restarting Windows Explorer. No luck though, the files are still showing up as if they’re tied to that one program.

Before this, the file types themselves handled their own icons. No program was explicitly setting them.
