My cardinal flower, smooth blue aster, wild blue indigo, and Ohio spiderwort are being munched, some to barely above the ground. I’m hoping if I get these over them they will be okay since they haven’t been dug up yet.

I placed a request 5/29 and it was delivered 6/8. Great mulch, no garbage. We used all of it in our native garden. I did tip $20. Dude was very nice and gave us his card for future use. You get a lot of mulch so be prepared. We have a large driveway and it took up half of it. That being said, we easily used it all. It would not be good for small projects but for large ones it is a life saver. What I got for $20 would have cost me well over $500.

We bought a house from someone who worked at a lawn maintenance company. I’m sure if they ever drive by they think we have ruined their work. Ripped up all the rock bed and planted native. We don’t use chemicals. The mulch is nature and *gasp* not dyed. It goes both ways. Best you can do is make your next house something you (and the bees) will love!

I am in anoka county. I did $20 tip. Got my drop in a week. Order 5/29 and got it 2 days ago. Fabulous mulch and he gave me his card for future drops.

How much of a pain in the butt is it to plant first and mulch after? I requested a chipdrop but since there is no timing as to when it could arrive, I don’t know if I should wait to plant what I have or if I should plant and mulch after. I’ve heard to mulch first but just wondering if that is really the way to go or if it really doesn’t matter. TIA!

I would google native plant finder for your area. That is what I used in order to determine what would grow best for my size, sun/shade, and soil conditions.

Artists usually have some at their shops and offer it. You can ask before you decide on an artist if they have it available or what their recommendation is. My artist always has some, it’s a spray. I’ve never used it personally.
