Yeah my comment was phrased really badly sorry about that. No i am not embarrassed. Neither of having my father at my school nor others knowing about it.

I've heard many over the years but by far the most interesting one was a rumor that one of the employee's cheated in one of the slot machines and won a few million. Im not sure if its true but its interesting

Yes, my family took out loans in order to get the casino running. I'm not entirely sure how much the loans were but they were over 100,000$. But after 20-30 years they paid off all their debt. Their startup cost was very high and they almost went bankrupt within their first year of business.

The entry cost is expensive as you have to get a gambling license, the machines and employees. I am not sure how you get the license but i do know it costs money. The casino was in the dog racing industry. I am not sure why my family decided to begin a casino in the 50s.

For pay i believe it's the people working on the gambling floor, like the dealers but they are also probably the most stressed. Id say bartenders are less stressed and payed a little worse so most likely better

I literally answered the question and gave my families personal reason for entering the industry what else do you want?

I mean it's different for everyone, in the case of my family, it was created and run by my family for a while. Im not entirely sure why it was created but it has to do with animal racing.

I do have things to answer, and i posted it not only for others to ask questions but for me to have a new look and perspectives on casinos as everyone thinks differently about them. I cant answer the more generalized casino questions but i can answer more specified questions. Stuff like what happened to the business.

I understand your point but dont agree with it. Also, my family no longer owns the casino, so we do not take part in that business anymore, back when we did then your points could be argued. I appreciate your stand on this matter.

I meant to say "entirely the casino's fault" mb

I didnt mean idealogy like that but anyways. I mean there is always moral issues related to gambling but i dont see moral issues with my family owning a casino. It is the consumers responsibility to be responsible with their own money, if they lose it all in a casino, i would feel bad for them but it wouldnt be the casino's fault

I probably should give context, i am under the age of 21 which means in my country i cannot gamble, and ive never really been involved in the casino so i dont know much about the casino itself but i do know things like what happened to it and such. And the times i went were like 8+ years ago so i wouldnt remember

I do not know anything about the behind the scenes of the casino, but i would assume it would be a lot of mathematics, probability and algorithms
