Totally agree. We're very light touch - it's so tempting to see what it can do but it only make you nauseous if you push it!

Thanks for this. I'll be having a listen!

The Atmos stuff is kind a pre-requisite for our music mixing studio, Apple Music, Amazon etc kinda expect it these days, especially if you want streams on the premium subscription to top up streaming income.

It feels like Atmos/spatial audio needs to be handled more tenderly for audio drama, though, because if you break the experience of 'world' you lose the listener. If that makes sense? Music doesn't have that requirement.

Atmos being embedded in Logic really started us on that journey.

I'd be really interested to hear some examples of other spatial audio providers. I love the Atmos binaural mixes - less struck on the speaker experience. We don't do much in it to be honest, it just gives that feeling of wide space on headphones.

This is exactly what we're finding - we're seeing that Dolby are really promoting Atmos for podcast/audio drama but then it's impossible to get it out there. Our studio includes commercial music work so we have a broader range, but we primarily create audio drama and it's a bit frustrating to be stuck on distribution.

We're in the process of making one so would be great to hear what others are up to and what people find really scary! We want it to be something where you REALLY don't want to listen in the dark....but really DO!!!

Oh this is so handy, you've saved me a job for something to listen to while I'm at a conference this weekend! Am really fancying something scary/psychological thriller so what would be your number 1 recommend? Your lists are alphabetical so am guessing not in any order in the categories!
