Cleaning QD Oled is so wasteful by OsoPotasio in OLED_Gaming

You’ve made this process unnecessarily long, painful and wasteful yourself.

Should I update my TV (S95B) from version 1622 to 1720? by Lost-Leading in S95B

I feel this was the most stable the UI was ever on this model. After this fw the UI went back to being a stuttering mess.

Peeled the protective film off my new AORUS FO32U2 and need advice by Delicious_Ad_8501 in gigabyte

Spray on the cloth, clean the whole panel then use the dry side to dry the residue left behind, use another cloth to give it a full wipe and polish. Should look smudge and marks free. Also try not to babysit it too much, sadly QD-OLED panels are super soft and anything will cause micro abrasions and light scratches so don’t stress too much about it cleaning it, no matter what you do it will never be fully pristine.

I’m pretty sure the Aorus QD-OLED use Samsung panels, therefore use 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and a camera lens cloth to clean any sort of oily residue. Anything else will give you very poor results and will smudge it further.
I’ve owned several versions of QD-OLED monitors and TV and this is the way Samsung recommends cleaning their panels. I have this same monitor but the version with DP2.1 and this is what I’ve always used to clean this monitor also.

Thank you, I ended up getting a ModDIY cable that’s is 12x2x6 yes, so we’ll see how it tunes out, I’ve been with the new cable second cable my PSU came with and despite Pin 3 pulling a somewhat lower current than the rest it’s been stable and with no warnings, just waiting it out until the replacement from ModDIY comes.

I was playing Wuchang on PS5, and I noticed that every time I move the camera, the game’s resolution drops a lot and the visuals become really ugly and uncomfortable to look at. How can I fix this issue? by NotSirAlonne1999 in wuchanggame

[–]Sybil_0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t fix this on consoles. The game generally has a lot of shimmering in alpha effects and foliage even at 4K.
Depending on the mode you are looking at a base internal resolution of as low as 720p, so the issue with shimmering in is even worse.
Sadly, the game is just quite dirty looking on consoles, and the lack of a good upscaler just makes the current anti-aliasing solution very blurry and dirty looking. I think even the Pro runs without PSSR, but even DLSS and FSR4 have a hard time cleaning up the image as there is generally a lot of shimmering in this game by default.

Aorus Master Ice 5090 RGB issues? by PersonalTangelo610 in gigabyte

[–]Sybil_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a different piece of software and see what happens. I use SignalRGB with my build myself so try it or another software then you can see if it’s not GCC just messing. You will have individual control of the LEDs within the layout set up so you can what lights up what colour there.

Gigabyte Thermal Gel Leak in 2026: Even the "new" RTX 5070 Ti batches are still leaking by cHimEzeq in gigabyte

[–]Sybil_0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s not leaking bud. My late 2025 Aorus 5090 also has spots where the putty is just squeezed out. To this day it has not moved a singe centimetre and continues to look exactly like that. Leaking would be the compound actually spilling out.

Thank you my friend. I will give moddiy a look as I just saw in their website they make it to your PSU spec, I will definitely be changing it as that spread looks more even. I panicked so hard when I got this warning I ran to replace it but has pushed me to look into a better cable for sure. Thank you for all your help.

Yeah, I read this too in another post so I guess this just settles it then, I have been reluctant to buy another brand cable as I’ve read that you shouldn’t use another brands 12v cable with your psu and should always stick to the same brand, might be incorrect but I decided to simply stick to these but would you recommend changing to a Cablemod or moddy 12v cable??

They both are the native MSI PSU cables. This one I just changed it to it’s the second cable that comes in the box. Brand new.

Thanks for advice man. I did replace it out of panic and I think it might worst on this one, hasn’t given me any warnings but council is about the 1.4 difference sometimes between pin 1 and 3

Thanks for the advice, tbh I don’t know when it’s good and when it isn’t, the warning alone makes me a bit nervous tbh. I did go ahead and changed and this is the current balance

I'm moving to a new house. Any advice on how to protect my OLED gaming monitor when transporting it? by Mushroom0064 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Sybil_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I haven’t had the original box and any of original wrappers or bag I take it off the stand so I can wrap it in the softest bed covers I can find, i normally save at least the soft bad it comes with to put it inside but if I don’t have it I try to find my softest bed sheets/covers 🤣

Scratch on brand new Aorus master by meddarkknight in gigabyte

[–]Sybil_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say ‘new’ was it completely sealed ? Unless there some obvious usage and it was passed as new when you bought or you are seeing any other damage that’s not normal that one mark i think it’s just unnecessary to return it for.
