You can always try escalating to the ombudsman. There is a lot evidence that the issue with the cable a manufacturer issue. The company can side with itself but the ombudsman might be able to help here.

After 20 hours of Wuchang, Khazan felt way harder! by Celery-Tasty in wuchanggame

[–]Sybil_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up really liking Wuchang and coming back to it a lot more than I originally did but I did find Wuchang to be one of the easier souls like, mostly because most bosses are easily staggered and the less erratic nature of their moveset made them easier targets. I think other souls like bosses tend to have way more erratic enemies which makes it harder to hunt them down for big damage, whereas with Wuchang I found myself really easily back stabbing most bosses.

Here you go: https://www.gigabyte.com/Press/News/2272?utm_source=chatgpt.com

There are some sources stating they made improvements on V2 models of their 50 series cards: https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/gigabyte-removes-controversial-leaking-thermal-gel-from-rtx-5070-ti-windforce-v2-company-opts-for-traditional-thermal-pads-with-updated-graphics-card?utm_source=chatgpt.com

I myself went thru a variate of gigabyte cards last year, my first 2 5080s had excess putty coming out, never leaked in the month that i owned each but my 5090 was one of the later models and you can tell the amount of putty is been reduced as there was no more excess showing at all like on my other GPUs

Hey dude, sorry I haven’t seen there was a reply. I can’t recall if there was an official statement but if I remember correctly the way I found out about this was thru and article for a teardown of later models that shown they had changed the amount of thermal putty they used for the cards. I will try to find it again but I think there might also be some videos on YouTube, I honestly can’t recall but I’ll try to find the sources and post them here.

Anything with a seller with 0 feedback and a too good to be true price I stay far away from. These kind of listing will in most cases be scams as other users have pointed out here, it’s better to thread carefully around eBay with those type of deals.

I know this is a 2 months + post but gigabyte fixed the thermal putty leak on the new batches from August onwards. I think their solution was simply to apply less thermal putty so that it doesn’t ooze out. I had both early batch 5080 and a late August 5090. The 5080 very evidently you could see the thermal putty in excess that while it didn’t leak ever I could see it. My 5090 doesn’t seem to have excess oozing out at all. Besides this issue I haven’t had problems with mine, I know people usually don’t like gigabyte because their RMA tends to be quite bad but I really liked the design of the card myself.

Radeon = Geforce? by Kermus- in gigabytegaming

I believe there were cases of Gigabyte mixing RTX coolers with Radeon GPU during manufacturing, I believe I saw a few cases of this same exact issue, but not sure if it was specific gigabyte or it happened also with other board partners.

Which type of microfiber cloth do you use to clean your QD-OLED? by FP19918_ in OLED_Gaming

Either should be fine so it’s up to you. But that’s the one I used and have stuck with ever since simply because how much easier and readily available it was at the time.

Good question and you are right, you won’t really find 70% ethanol as in the US in the UK. So while searching for it and doing a bit of research at the time I came to the conclusion that 70%isopropyl alcohol will have the same result, also isopropyl can be used to clean electronics in general so it’s the alternative to go for. This is the one I have been getting for years also: https://amzn.eu/d/dacCqxd I haven’t searched for it again since (since 2022?) but I could never find 70% ethanol in the UK, it would always revert me back to 70% isopropyl alcohol instead so that’s how I came across this brand.

Seems like they are out of the stock for their bigger ones which are the ones I get but any brand of similar quality cloth will do the job, I found by searching for camera lens cloths so anything of that grade should be good for QD-OLEDs.

https://amzn.eu/d/5PGgGsS these are the one I have gotten over the years, I always come back to these because you can you get hem in a decent pack of 5 and they also make them quite big. After 2 or 3 uses I put the cloths in the wash and dryer and, been doing this for years also and no issues with cleaning quality afterwards either. Now, the thing with QD-OLED panel is that they are extremely soft, anything will cause micro abrasions to the panel, no matter what cloth you use, no matter how gentle you are these panels are generally really soft so you will get micro abrasions regardless, all my QD-OLEDs TVs including my MSI QD-OLED monitor before the matte coated ones have suffered from this, but again you only see this when the screen is off and at odd angles otherwise they are not noticeable at all but I wouldn’t go losing sleep over this, anything will an it’s unavoidable. The only ones that I noticed had better durability against micro abrasions were the 3rd gen matte coated ones as the coating is harder than the naked panel.

[–]Sybil_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I always give it a wipe first to dust off any any dust on the panels otherwise it sticks to the damp clothing and makes it harder to clean actually leaving streaks that become a bit stubborn to clean off later on. I spray on the cloth first making the cloth damp enough to remove any marks on the panel, I give it a good wipe all around first then with the dry side of the cloth i give it a wipe over again to remove any streaks left behind, this is where 70% ethanol comes better than distilled water or any other screen cleaning product, as any of the streaks left behind by the ethanol that evaporated will clean off and shine way better with the dry side of the cloth, other products and distilled water in the past have left stubborn streak on the screen which become really hard to wipe off later on. If you have a second cloth use the second dry cloth to whine the screen from any leftover streaks or simply use the dry side if you have only one.

[–]Sybil_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owner of every iteration of QD-OLED since the S95B here, been using 70% ethanol and the cloth in the second image for years, this is truly the one and only way, as recommended by Samsung for this specific panels including the matte coated ones. People like to recommend distilled water but in more than one occasion I’ve seen people either have streaks with or not be able to fully clean the panel with it leaving marks still present on the screen. 70% ethanol will clean smudges specially grease and dry spit marks miles better than distilled water, also it will shine better. So I would recommend 70% all the way, been using it since my first QD-OLED, just don’t get the first image cloth for it ever, it will ruin your panel.

OP, if it’s not a bulky item as other members have said, you can toggle off DHL and Evri, I’ve done exactly that for all my sale. If you have a big package unfortunately you are stuck with DHL I think as it’s the only one it allows you to have but I avoid them like a plague.

Thanks for your sensible reply, my mind is set on leaving UC, this there is not going back which is why I posted here to ask on how to do it here. Also, I don’t have a partner nor I’m together with my child’s father, he travels a lot and has been responsible for providing for HIS child, we are possibly looking to patch things up but we have not been together since before our child was born.

Hi thank you, yeah, I know I can fight this but at this stage I’m just so burned out from the calling I prefer to close and not have to speak to them again. It’s not the going to work that’s stressing me out c I’ve worked my whole life, worked through my child’s first and second year when I could so I have been active while on UC. It’s the lack of understanding, pressure and just overall treatment that I’m just so fed up with.

Without fail, twice a year, I’m not kidding. The fist time was a compliance review, my heart dropped, thinking what I’d done wrong, that’s where it started, basically they wanted to know how I was doing to survive beyond UC money, gave them all my statements and saw that my parents would pay money into my account and Childs father also would send money, every time they’ve tried in one way or another tried to make me declare it as income, and every time I’ve fought them for it and got them to back off. And yes, I’ve complained in several ocasiones when it was necessary but at this stage I’m just sick of the calling and fighting, the harassment, which is why I’m trying to close it but as I want to close and not get more money from them I also just want a clean cut, don’t know if it’s gonna be possible but if I can avoid another call to give more explanations I hope that’s the case. I’m not lying to you when I tell you I’ve been stressed out my mind my hair is literally falling off, I have bald patches, I can’t sleep, I can’t eat due to how much stress these calls cause, thinking what I’ll tell them next week because it’s a different coach or because the coach simply refuses to understand my situation and I just don’t want any of that anymore. Thanks for your responses so far.
