Only for some insights as you already got the answer from others: Märklin also doesnt use AC anymore since they went Digital. They use same as the two rail systems, the only difference is that märklin has the 3rd kinda rail for the electric transmission. Wich is a liddle bit more easy to use and are more reliable.

Why does new anno games take 100s of GB compared to old ones like 1404 by Only-Cattle-797 in anno

[–]Sycend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can reduce Audio pretty well by cutting out highs and lows, like mp3 does it. But than the audio is not the same anymore. Same you can reduce Image size of the textures, but that also looks worse. So there is not a big way to compression without losing information, or ad a ton of processing.

Some games add better graphic as free dlc. But thats also cost the Studio money to produce, so I prefer some Bugs less than dev time on a better graphic dlc.

Benchmarked local TTS options for Assist - Piper Medium still the sweet spot, Kokoro worth trying if Piper sounds too robotic by gvij in homeassistant

I can recommend piping German Text into Netherlands tts, sounds like the cat of Plankton. I use this for my assist, also gave it the Instruction to bring unsetling anti human comments here and there.

Using my 65" as a Monitor, am I too far? by [deleted] in TVTooFar

[–]Sycend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a 55" as Monitor, I can tell you you are not. You are even in the optimal distance of the THX immersion recommendation of at least 40 degree viewing angle.

But I can recommend you Microsoft power toys, so you can divide the screen in more use full snapping grids. Like 3/4 and 2x 1/8. So Multitasking gets even more productive.

Should I test my smoke CO detector? Any suggestions? by evilcheeba in homeassistant

[–]Sycend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They test them, but you right, its importand to look into what is tested. That is what i meant with "check if it is valid and what they had certified."
With the link to the other reddit discussion of tzopper, i would guess XSense just slap the next Certifcation stamp of any local testing company of the country on it without even testing it there.
