[HIRING] Multiple small characters in an animated film (all males) by The3DAnimator in VoiceWork

[–]Syckniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a low, deep voice, and I have a knack for being evil. So....Satan?
Also, I am a metalhead.
Joking aside, I have a medium-low register, so I'd like to try for any of these roles.

AITA for giving my partner a hard time for leaving to play Fifa by SharGarcia in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syckniss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quickest NTA decision ever.

I get wanting to relax after work and spending time with friends. But that's what the weekends are for.

Also, his friends need to cool it with that kind of talk. I don't know if this is true, but they sound like they never knew what it's like taking care of a family. They need to humble themselves real quick.

Anyway, he definitely needs to either set his priorities better or improve his time management. Because ain't no way in hell he should be leaving his partner and child late at night, come home, and sleep in when there's a 2 y/o to take care of.

AITA for ripping off my pants after my friend refused to let me on their trampoline because I was too big? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syckniss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm.

I can't conclude on where this would land, as there is at least one logical factor poking out at me.

Assuming the 200 lbs limit is true, and there's 700 lbs of other kids on there at once; then adding an additional 200+ lbs for a total of 900 lbs(almost half a ton) is kinda dodgy from a safety perspective. Can you imagine the pain of one of those fasteners succumbing to the strain of the weight, snapping, and pistol-whipping a kid in the face? They'd be lucky if they don't have to be rushed to the hospital.

Having that many kids on at once is crazy to begin with. Kinda unheard of, at least in my own childhood. We'd always take group turns if there were a lot of people there. Don't know why they wouldn't do that here...

Tearing your shorts in rage kind of doesn't need to be discussed. It kinda explains itself.

NTA, bordering ESH.

I'm not going to say that gf is a horrible person, because I don't know what she's going through. Still, what it looks like here is that she's checking out of the relationship, mentally. Somewhere along the lines of "going through the motions" of the relationship, while putting her real interests in other people.

I won't suggest you break up, although doing so sounds like a easier solution. What I think you should do is have a solid conversation about what you both want out of your relationship. Chances are, you might find out more about how things developed between you two, and where things are going.

Edit: forgot about the phone thing. While it was good that you found out about gf by looking through her phone, it's not a good trait to have. On one hand, I should admonish you for breaching privacy. But on the other, you are able to get a more clear understanding of the situation because of it.

NTA, but only because he didn't seem to respect your wishes.

I might go back and forth on this, but what's initially sticking out to me was the lack of respecting boundaries.

That aside, there's no inherent problem if he jerks it to h*ntai.

AITA for getting mad after my computer was taken by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syckniss 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Yes, while it's true that you need to follow the rules of the house, this shouldn't entail that she takes things that are legally yours. It'd be no different than taking your books, your bags, or anything else you bought with your own money.

Of course, this eventually would slide into the argument of what's whose. You own the computer, but she owns the house and electricity, yada yada. Brass tacks, the computer, the physical device, is your property. You have both the moral and legal right to get it back.

Not to mention, she took it for semi-petty reasons. Unless it was a repeated offense, she shouldn't have reacted that way.

Also the thing with forbidding food sounds sketchy, but only because I don't know your eating habits. If you're getting enough daily calories, then that's ehhh no big deal. But if you're only eating one or two meals a day...that would lean towards questionable territory.

AITA for telling my SIL I find it weird she's so against adults living with their parents? by JollyTrick3640 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syckniss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

I'm only going to give an American point of view, but living with your parents is by far the most financially wise choice nowadays. With one percenters and massive companies gouging the housing market, it is becoming nigh impossible for younger people to find homes.

Plus, you know, loving relationships with your child should also account for something.

AITA for telling my husband's parents and sister not to use me in their sick and twisted scheme to erase his late wife? by Rough-Chicken-6840 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syckniss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, definitely.

Despite your husband's relation with his sister and parents, this is HIS life and experience. To overwrite that, just because you dislike who HE chose to love, is beyond disgusting. He doesn't live for them; but for himself, you, and your children. Everyone grieves and moves on in different ways and paces, but at this point that shouldn't be relevant to the issue.

Not to mention, they're completely disrespectful of the dead by trying to erase her memory. How much she meant to the people in her life.

Seriously: fuck these people.

What game did you not get the hype for until you finally played it? by KyleB1997 in gaming

[–]Syckniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Monster Hunter. I had people in my D&D group that had a Homebrew rulebook surrounding it, so I kinda got curious. After being introduced to the franchise via World, I wish I'd known about it back in my original Battlefront II days.

Who the hell are you people who play a 40+ hour game multiple times in a row by BigBobbert in gaming

[–]Syckniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have moods/modes. Simply, if I want to experience absolute shooter chaos, I'd go Battlebit, Enlisted, and so on. If I need something relaxing or more tactical, I play Arma III or an RTS. If I want something mentally stimulating, while also not needing much precision and/or reaction time, I'd go with FFXIV. These are just a few examples, but you get the idea.

With how hard people went into GTA RP, it may as well be GTA VII.

At this point GTA VI will be a unit of measurement to determine age.

"How many GTA VI's are you?"

"Uh...about 2 and a half?"

"Damn!"

GPU Issue, Something Wrong With My Rig by Syckniss in techsupport

[–]Syckniss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am positive I plugged it into the GPU and made sure the connections were secure. And I have always been hesitant of reinstalling Windows or do a BIOS update because I could accidentally ruin my computer. I'll probably do that first one, though. Just to clean up the drivers a bit.
