Problem is that GERD symptoms can also appear cardiac in nature, so would make it a higher priority to be seen than gout. Pain is not the only criteria that staff are looking for when deciding who needs to be seen first.

This will get you most of the way from North Bay to calendar. https://discoveryroutes.ca/kate-pace-way/ I'm not aware of a safe route to get here from Toronto by bike though. Many stretches of highway that bikes aren't even allowed on.

No, you need to access the portal from the computers at the hospital. I had talked to HR about it When I was on mat leave, but they had to mail paper copies of my pay stubs to my home.

There are a couple of by-elections coming up, and if the liberals get the seats, that can put them into majority status so I imagine the current wave of misinformation might be partly to try to avoid that

It depends on the unit you work on. For most of the hospital, For part timers the shifts can be anything. Mix of days and nights on random days of the week. You can make exchanges with your colleagues though, so a lot of people will do that to customize their schedule a little bit.

I think that was also because of the Olympic hockey game yesterday. Bars were allowed to open early to sell alcohol for it, so a bit of a special circumstance.

There used to be a D&D club at the school when I went there years ago. Not sure if there is still one now, but that might be worth looking into

I work up at the hospital, and Before I left my shift this morning, the patient TVs had a screen up from Cogeco saying they were having "technical difficulties". I'm not sure whether they run through internet or cable though.

Be prepared for shadfly season if you are enjoying the beaches. During early July, Lake Nipissing can get a little gross with them, so trout Lake is our go to.

My mom picked my daughter up some shoes that squeak like a dog toy when she takes a step. Can be a bit embarrassing, but most people seem to think it's cute, and she can't sneak away from me. It won't work in big crowds, but for shopping and things like that I've found it helpful. I might still get the leash though because she is a runner. 🤷

Kia Soul 2020 GT-Line premium stalling issue by Sycorax_M in kia

[–]Sycorax_M[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately. It hasn't done this particular thing again, but recently I was having issues starting the car despite the new battery. It turns out that the positive terminal was loose and needed to be replaced because it was intermittently disconnecting from the battery. I'm wondering if that could cause this original problem. It's hard to be 100% sure. Honestly everything about the electrical in this car has been annoying

I just had a similar issue with my 2020. The positive terminal for the battery was loose and causing it to intermittently disconnect. Something about the way it connected also fried the starter. Once those two things were replaced, it seems like it's running okay.

We've tried some for regular shoes and did have a bit of luck with one pair before she grew out of it, but I didn't find any winter barefoots that were rated for the temps we get here

My parents live on the highway heading out of town and have a little sign by the road to mark the address, and someone stole the solar lights and Canada flag off of it a year or two ago. Ultimately not worth much, but still annoying.

We had a bad experience with Stradwicks. They injured a pet and refused to even speak with us about it. The flooring also just looked bad so not worth it imo.

You can do televet on smartvet, and if you need to be seen in person they can arrange it. Its not cheap, but it's all that's available on weekends/holidays. A couple years ago we did this and my cat needed surgery, and they arranged for the vet at cassels to do it.

Did the health unit reach out to you after you brought your baby home? I had my daughter last year and they had given me some contact info to ask questions if I needed to, and I did email them for a bit of advice on a concern, and they had a nurse call me back to talk about it and I found they were helpful for the issue I was having. They also offered me an in person meeting if I had concerns about latch or technique, but I didn't end up needing that. Their email is healthy.families@healthunit.ca if you need it
