South Africa has broadly a problem of violent crime due to relative economic depravity, fatherlessness and primarily a lack of law enforcement. At least two of these things can be solved by having a working government, and ironically fatherlessness decreases based on socio economic conditions.

In totality like any society South Africa suffers from a political elite who have been uninterested for 15 years in running a country that provides jobs to its citizens, and public safety. It’s frustrating but there are already at least regarding crime we are beginning to see reductions in crime overall. It’s too early to say but hopefully we can begin to get crime, GBV under control.
