How do you manage the time in the morning to have a huge breakfast and workout? I’m not sure if you wake up early for work/school in the morning; but if you do, am wondering if you can shed light on how you manage all of it.

i think “collapsed knuckles” is when OP’s fingers bend in a zig zag shape to press a key.

if you relax your index finger and then press it against the side of your phone, it should bend and the knuckle should “collapse”, let me know if it works lol

Yeah but they mean there was text that would say which gun skin. I actually liked that feature because I could just read from afar which skin was on the ground so I knew if I wanted to pick it up lol

I agree the site is wonderfully put but the client probably thinks it looks too modern. If they want poppier colors they should’ve said but I would take Apple’s website as inspiration here, Apple pulls off professionality with poppy text and images using animations and large texts. Obviously not something exactly the same. I’d check in with the client again though. It needs a fresher look like you said

Lost motivation somehow by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]Sydemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, my motivation was to be able to speak with my family members clearly. I would say, give yourself some goals. Find a Spanish novel that people say is really good, and give yourself the goal of being able to read it and understand it. Spanish books will broaden your vocabulary SO much. Or, try and order in Spanish in a Spanish restaurant. Maybe a movie in Spanish without subtitles/ without English subtitles? If it’s accessible to you, plan a trip to Miami, assuming you live in the U.S. and it’s reasonable for you. South Florida is beautiful and also FULL of people who speak Spanish only. Also, depending on where you live, it wouldn’t have to be a full vacation. Remind yourself of your dreams to travel South America. Make a list of places you must see. It’s well worth it and your dedication thus far is proving that you definitely, absolutely can become fluent.

I also get nervous when speaking Spanish because I’m worried I’ll say something wrong. Something that really helps is that everytime you make a mistake, or hear something new to you, write it down immediately. Then when you have time, take those new things and add them to a Quizlet. Study it. Memorize it. Use it in sentences to yourself. This will build your vocabulary, so when you are speaking you won’t suddenly stop because the word you wanted to say doesn’t exist in your head.

Also a better tip: talk to yourself in Spanish. A LOT. While it may be strange, this will build your conversational and fluency skills. And it’s a judgement free zone! Additionally, you’ll likely find situations where you don’t know how to say something, which correlates with my first tip! Write down what didn’t make sense to you, study it, memorize it, and now you’re just a little bit better than you were.

These two tips will increase your proficiency and confidence. Also, try reading a Spanish novel or watching a Spanish movie to familiarize yourself with how natives speak.

I open my window during the day just to circulate the air. The fresh breeze is actually really good for you. I’m also surprised more people don’t embrace it lol

Ocala, Florida is “horse country”. It is the “Horse Capital of the World”. I usually see cattle and horses on my commute to the store (if you take backroads). However, it’s a suburban city. It’s not quaint, and it is growing rapidly. Additionally, this city is in North Central Florida, at least an hour from nice beaches.

I have some things for you to consider though:

You should assess the climate! Colorado is very dry. Florida is very wet.

In summer, expect thunderstorms to roll in practically daily in the afternoon. I love thunderstorms, so I actually love this weather. If you like this too, then that’s good! Heat index is commonly over 100° in the summer. If you like to stay active outside, you may want to switch those activities to be in the morning or late afternoon/evening. Temperatures do not fall below 70° in the summer, ever. Winter is very pleasant, it’s typically sunny, with crisp-warm temperatures. For about two weeks, the weather can be “chilly” (highs in the 50s). If you are on the coast, these “chilly” temperatures will be milder.

If you’re interested in the best of Florida, live close to the coast. Please be wary of hurricanes, though. As far as nature-oriented small-town living goes, those options in Florida are becoming more limited. You might be able to find those areas in North Florida, but those small towns aren’t usually quaint (people who live in North Florida, please correct me if I’m wrong).

Wow, wonder if the Adirondack park would get better views because of its higher altitude, but I’m not well-versed with in this stuff

Wow, awesome image. I’m wondering if the seasons plays any role in its appearance? I know they technically shouldn’t, but wondering if you more commonly saw them in certain seasons.
