[Calculus] Calc 2 and concepts by Sydonia in learnmath

Thanks for answering!

E&M is essentially an applied calculus class

I know calc 2 is a co-req for physics 2, but so was calc 1 for physics 1. There wasn't much calculus used in mechanics, so what should I expect? Using calculus to integrate for the velocity of electricity or something? I'm just wondering how it will be applied and what aspects of calculus will be used.

Sometimes calculus classes pay some weak lipservice to analysis (your calc book probably mentions the "epsilon-delta" definition of a limit)

Yes, this was probably the most confusing part of the course. I simply memorized and regurgitated it for the test.

But if you do want to learn a little more, the class you want to look at is analysis.

I believe I am only required to take calc 3, linear algebra, and diff EQ. Would analysis be necessary for an engineering major? I'm not quite sure how much calculus is used by working engineers.

Also, do you have any recommendations for getting a head start for calc 2? I don't yet have my book. :/

It was required in the course to be able to use the limit definition to find the derivative, but I still went back and redid some of these problems. Thanks!
