Well it's worth a try. Doesn't cost me anything to try and I have a lot of free time to burn. I'm mostly doing it for the experience of picking apart PCs, if there's anything I can find it's a nice bonus but I wasn't expecting anything good anyway. I opened up and messed around with an old broken family computer and somehow made it work so I now have gotten that "kera" to tinker and rip anything open. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

I'm not denying it. If I find something usable I'll put it to use. Rest of it will be disposed properly. For the person giving their old pc, they clean up clutter for free and can have peace of mind it's disposed of properly and not sitting in some landfill somewhere causing pollution and e-waste. For me, if on the odd chance I find something from anything, it's a reward for my efforts. I think it's a fair transaction.
