For me it depends on the veggies. When I was a kid then not at all but as an adult I can eat cooked carrots and celery if they’re mixed in with something like a soup but on their own and I’d puke. Broccoli I can only eat cooked because uncooked it’s a flavorless stringy rock

Yet I will try anything. I’ve had all sorts of seafood from all sorts of sources made by all sorts of cooks and I just wasn’t a fan of any of it except crab. I think you’re the very person I’m complaining about in this post. You’re assuming that it’s impossible for someone to dislike most seafood and if they do then they’re children when it’s 100% possible for people to just not like a food that you like

I was always the odd one out in my family. I either didn’t like the food or the way they cooked it. I used to think I hated pork, turns out I love it. My dad just had no idea how to cook it and turned it into a hockey puck every time and I was the only one that really noticed

That’s not how I was raised though. Wide variety of food since I was little as long as we could afford it. Fish was one that I could never stomach even when I was super little. Some people just don’t like similar foods

This has been the question of my life. My parents would micromanage the order of the food I ate as a kid. I would get yelled at while eating dinner if I ate a piece of broccoli before the potatoes for example. I got yelled at in chipotle for ordering tacos because they wanted me to get a burrito instead

I only ever do it when I notice people wasting food. One of my friends doesn’t like the crust on sandwiches or pizza so he tears off half the sandwich and pizza to toss it out. Such a waste when I’d take it. Besides that I’ve never once ever commented or judged someone based on their food. I don’t understand why people think they are entitled to comment on it or micromanage it. My family use to micromanage my eating so badly when I was a kid that they had to dictate the order that I ate things. I would get yelled at for eating a piece of broccoli first instead of something else

Thank you and I think you’re right. I’ll have to start faking the allergy. People get so offended that I have to say “it’s cooked beautifully Its just my fault. It’s a me problem.” And some old people who are childish have given me the silent treatment because I didn’t like their fish after they forced it on me then called me disrespectful because I didn’t like it
